Li Jing was from the Tang Dynasty and Nezha was from the Shang Dynasty, so why did he become Nezha's father?

Li Jing was a famous general who founded the Tang Dynasty. He was an illustrious general who fought in the south and the north, and had excellent war opportunities.

Li Jing has always had a high status in official ceremonies. During the Song Dynasty, he was posthumously knighted as "King of Auxiliary Loyalty", along with Guan Yu and others. The literati often preferred the combination of Li Jing, the gnarled bearded man and the red-whiskered woman, the so-called "Three Heroes of the Wind and Dust". But the folk's preference has another focus. Legend has it that when Li Jing was young, he stayed with a family who were actually dragons. The heavenly court ordered the dragon's son to send rain, however, the dragon's son went out to make waves, so the dragon's mother had to ask Li Jing to cover the shift. The method was to take a small bottle, ride a divine horse to heaven, and drop a drop of water when the horse neighs. Li Jing, being a zealot, felt that he could not relieve the folk's drought with a single drop of water, so he dropped twenty drops in a row.

This caused havoc, a drop of water in the sky, a foot of rain on the ground, twenty drops is two feet deep rain. Wherever the rain came, of course, there were no living people. However this piece of bad luck, there are many places to compete. Hebei Guangpingfu Feixiang County, Hubei Wuchangfu Tongshan County, Hubei Shishou County, Shanxi Yicheng County? Local records all claim that Li Jing drowned is our place.

The people are very simple: they think that rainfall is like cheating, and since Li Jing has rained once, there must be another time. The people, in turn, are kind enough to believe that Li Jing is slowly familiarizing himself with the business and improving. So when you need rain, you tend to think of Li Jing? Seeking rain from Li Jing was very effective, and such records also appeared in many Fangzhi (方志). And as we all know, this ability of Li Jing was, again, stripped away in the story of Ne Zha. In the classic cartoon "Nezha in the Sea", for example, Nezha is the only one to stand up to the dragon king when he refuses to send rain and the people are abused. If Li Jing himself had the ability to call for rain, the whole story would not have been valid at all. The merging of Li Jing and the Tota Heavenly King, two deities who both originally had a deep popular base, did not end up being a powerful combination. Once Nezha's story matured, he was reduced to the image of a hypocritical, cowardly, moralistic and forward-looking middle-aged greasy man.
