Who created peacock dance?

peacock dance was created by Yang li Ping. With her excellent dancing skills and unique performances, she became a legend in China dance circle. She deeply explored the essence of China traditional culture, combined peacock image with dance, and created a unique peacock dance.

peacock dance, the most famous traditional performance dance among the Dai folk dances in China, is distributed in Ruili, mangshi, Xishuangbanna, Mengding, Menglian, Jinggu, Cangyuan and other Dai inhabited areas in dehong autonomous prefecture, Yunnan Province, among which peacock dance ("Galoyong" in Dai language) in Ruili, western Yunnan Province is the most representative.

Peacock dance's content mostly shows peacocks flying down the mountain, strolling in the forest, drinking water in the spring, chasing and playing, dragging their wings, drying their wings, spreading their wings, shaking their wings, brightening their wings, drinking water, kicking branches, resting branches, opening their screens, flying and so on.

2. Linzhi peacock dance

Linzhi peacock dance originated in Zhaxi Raodeng Township, Milin County, Linzhi Prefecture, and spread in Milin County and Zhaxi Raodeng Township. Peacock dance in Linzhi is not accompanied by musical instruments, and often sings and dances by himself. There are many forms such as solo dance, duet dance, trio dance and group dance, which can be used by both men and women. When dancing in a group, it is in a big circle formation, basically jumping in the same place, and sometimes moving and jumping clockwise.
