In the last chapter we talked about the inner body, letting us know that in addition to the outer physical body, we all have an inner body, all have an essence, and feel it through our presence consciousness.
In this chapter we are going to discuss the gateway into the unmanifested state. The unmanifested state is a word I have never heard before, and this chapter, for me, is one of the more raw and difficult chapters.
The unmanifested state according to author Eckhart. Tolley's point of view is that undifferentiated state before life divides and evolves to create diversity, and personally, I feel that the body and all things in nature are boundless. In the text, Eckhart Tolley makes it easy for the reader to understand. In the text, Eckhart Tolley makes it easy for readers to understand by referring to the Buddhist theory of "color is emptiness, emptiness is color" and the Chinese Taoist view of Lao Tzu --- one life, two lives, two lives, three lives, three lives. The unmanifested state is "one", which means that everything is whole.
We are all an integral part of this space of everything, and people radiate each other's energies, and magnetic fields **** vibrate between each other, and between people and everything.
In fact, such a theory is similarly described in our previous knowledge structure, such as the butterfly effect, a butterfly wing in the Amazon rainforest vibrates occasionally, maybe two weeks later will cause a tornado in Texas, USA. For example, the mirror theory, people are reflecting each other in a mirror, you give others a smile, others return the smile, you give others a cold face, others also cold face accordingly.
It's just that such theories are stored in our heads as theories of knowledge, and we rarely ask why such phenomena arise.
The unmanifested state is static, boundless, all-encompassing, one with the manifested state after two begets three, and three begets all, the life within each form, the source of life, the intrinsic essence of all forms of existence, and fills the whole world.

After the human body enters into sleep, according to the law of change of brain waves is generally divided into four stages of sleep, with the gradual deepening of sleep, the frequency of brain waves is getting lower and lower and the amplitude is getting bigger and bigger, until it enters the The highest stage, the fourth stage, that is, the stage of deep sleep, this section of the stage about 20 minutes, and the first half of the night long after the midnight break.
The four stages form a cycle that lasts about 90 minutes, after which it enters the rapid eye movement stage, which is the beginning of dreaming.
The greater the percentage of deep sleep, the more efficient the sleep and the better the quality of sleep. Eckhart. Tolley defines this deep sleep as entering an unmanifested state.

How does one enter the gateway to the unmanifested state in the flood of a million thoughts, in the outer body of each specific state? Eckhart. Tolley takes us on a search.
The inner body, the present moment, cessation of thought activity, submission, silence, space, and so on are all gates to the unmanifested state. The inner body, the present moment, and the cessation of thought activity are all mentioned in previous chapters and will not be repeated here. Submission, which is the letting go of inner resistance, is also better understood and will not be described here. The focus here is on describing silence and space.
Silence, too, is a familiar word to us. However, have you ever really experienced silence? Cicadas are quiet in the forest, birds are singing in the mountains. In a relatively open and quiet environment, we may all have the ability to feel the silence.
When you are deep in the downtown area, the sound of cars driving by in the distance, the sound of square dancing downstairs, please listen carefully and focus your attention more on the silence than on the sound. Only by feeling the silence outside can you create the silence inside.
Every sound originates from the silence and melts into the silence, which is like an infinite net that embraces the sound. It is by feeling the web of silence that every sound can be dissolved.
Our bedroom faced the road, not far from the window there is a fixed collection of garbage, every morning about 5:00 or so, there will be a garbage truck to collect the garbage, every day at this time, the bookworm father always woke up, too noisy, change the room to continue to sleep.
I usually don't hear any sound, occasionally, I hear the sound of the garbage cans colliding with the garbage trucks, which seems very far away in the silent empty morning, and in a daze, I instantly, instantly fall into that big net of silence again.

Perhaps it is a bit thin to use such an example of the silence taking us into the unmanifested state. However, the book, The Power of Now, is currently in its seventh chapter, and the biggest thing that reading and writing about it has given me so far is that we have the power to take control of the thousands of thoughts that are already in our heads. Be the master of your thinking, not a slave to it and be led by it without even realizing it.
Often a thought will pop into our head, and then the thought will lead to a lot of unnecessary fear, worry, panic, sadness, and all kinds of negative thoughts.
The most extreme case is when the mind is completely controlled by the thought, and there is a disorder in the form of a morbid thought. However, for the average normal person it is a matter of faith that one moment they will follow their thoughts and then a brief moment of presence awareness will occur, telling themselves not to think nonsense.
By listening and paying attention to the silence beyond the sound, it is beneficial to train our consciousness to feel and control. It is also what Eckhart . What Eckhart Tolley said: Silence outside, fixed silence inside.

The last thing I want to explore is the nature of space and time. When we talk about space, our first reaction is to objects, and we always want to explore what objects are in space. Like sound and silence, we are focusing on the sound and ignoring the silence, in the same way we are focusing on the objects and ignoring the space. Space is boundless and objectless.
When we walk into a room, or stay in a room, our attention to space is on the objects, and perhaps each object also has a story that will lead our minds to drift infinitely away. Try focusing on space without objects! Space and serenity are two aspects of the same thing, both the same nothing.
And time, as described in the previous chapters, time only exists if the consciousness of the Presence is present; otherwise, it's all an illusion.
In short, whether it is silence, space, or time, it is giving us the ability to press the pause button on our thinking and to stretch it out as long as we wish. It allows us to enter the unmanifested state.
Of course, having said all that, the unmanifested state is not about permanently letting the mind roll away and leaving the head in a blank state. It's that we have the ability to have complete control over our thinking, especially the ability to be aware of, and control, negative thinking.
When studying, working, thinking, and needing to be exposed to new knowledge and create new things, letting the head be in an unmanifested state will suck it up faster and better. And when you want to remember the sweet, think about the future, let thinking take you by the reins, as long as you are happy and happy.
