The growth process of rape flower

There are four processes in the growth of rape flowers, which are seedling stage, bud stage, flowering stage and fruiting stage in turn.

1, seedling stage

Rape flowers at seedling stage have green leaves and tender leaves have a few loose bristles, which are similar to ordinary vegetables. At this time, rape blossoms can be fried as vegetables, and the taste is similar to that of ordinary Chinese cabbage. It takes a long time from seedling stage to budding stage, accounting for about half of the growth cycle of rape flowers.

2. Bud stage

In the bud stage of rape flowers, moss will grow first, and then many small buds will grow on the moss. The bud stage is about 30 days, with plenty of sunshine and rain and rapid flowering. About 25% plants bloom in the early flowering period, and the duration of flower buds is different in different climates.

3. Flowering period

The flowering period of rape flowers is from March to April. In the south, rape flowers generally bloom in March-April and fall in May. In the north, Inner Mongolia will have to wait until July and August. Rape flowers are bright yellow and beautiful. The flowering period of rape is about 1 month. It likes warm weather. Flowers bloom in early spring in the south, visible in summer in northern Inner Mongolia, and end in August.

4. Seed setting period

About a month after the rape blossoms, it will usher in the fruiting period. Rapeseed has many pods and high oil content. When mature, it is black and round rapeseed, which is very small. Rapeseed oil is natural and nutritious, and cooking is particularly fragrant. The oil produced by rapeseed accounts for more than 30% of China's total oil output, and rapeseed is very popular in China.

Morphological characteristics of rape flowers;

The flowers are bisexual and radially symmetrical, and the four petals are arranged in a cross. These flowers are as yellow as rice paper. There are usually 6 stamens, 4 long and 2 short, which are usually called "four strong stamens". The pistil consists of two carpels, and the ovary is located on the upper side. The stems are cylindrical, with a diameter of 0. 1-0.8 cm, many branches and soft stems. Leaves alternate, large, dark green, without petiole and support.

In March and April, there are flowers at the top of the stem, which are racemes, four sepals, yellow-green, four corollas, yellow and cross. The fruit is silique. When summer is ripe, it cracks and sows, purple-black, yellow.
