Gambling is a crime committed by a person who commits the act of gathering people to gamble or gambling as a business for the purpose of making a profit.
Legal basis: "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Public Security Administration Punishments" Article 32 The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
Gambling or providing conditions for gambling;
Producing, reproducing, selling, renting, or disseminating obscene books, obscene paintings, obscene videos, or other obscene materials.
Anyone who commits any of the above acts shall be detained for not more than fifteen days and may be fined not more than 3,000 yuan; or may be sentenced to re-education through labor in accordance with the provisions of the law; if a crime is constituted, the person shall be held criminally liable in accordance with the law.
