In 1995, she was admitted to the Beijing Dance Academy to study Chinese folk dance, a six-year course of study, during which she won several scholarships; she was in the same class with movie and TV stars Lv Yi and Wang Xiao.
In 2000, she participated in the Sixth Peach and Lee Cup National Dance Competition held in Shanghai and won the gold medal in the female group;
