We are fortunate to have crossed two centuries; we are lucky to have seen the Olympic Games held in China in 2008; and we are happy to have felt the tremendous material and spiritual changes brought about by the thirty years of reform and opening up.
Listening to the old people say: In December 1978, the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Party was held, opening up a new period of reform and opening up. Thirty years can be said to be a snap of the fingers! The country's economy has developed rapidly in the past three decades, and our living, working and learning conditions have also changed dramatically in the past three decades.
I often asked my mom curiously; what was your life like before? How many times a week did you eat meat? How many times a year could you wear new clothes? And what was your old school like? ...... Mom got tired of me asking and told me about her childhood.
"Wearing new clothes for the New Year" was a kind of expectation when I was a child, and I could only wear the clothes that my sister couldn't wear during the week, because the cloth for making clothes had to be bought with a cloth ticket, so it had to be planned and rationalized. Now I have to buy new clothes for every season and choose my favorite style.
Now the table changes every day with different dishes, today fish, tomorrow meat, and a full table, I still pouted and said, nothing to eat. You should know that when my mom was young, she could eat meat once a week, which was already considered happy, although she had a meat ticket to buy meat every month, but she had to be financially permitted to do so. Snacks are not to mention. Hands have a penny to buy a packet of plum slices still can not eat, not to mention dare to brother, sister see, for fear of being their own food robbed. Nowadays, I, KFC, McDonald's, chocolate ...... want to eat what, as long as with mom and dad to speak, will immediately meet me, let me enjoy.
Mom hours, the family has nothing home appliances, only a small radio, accompanied by her growth. TVs and refrigerators were unattainable high-grade commodities. If anyone bought a TV, they were envious and looked forward to watching TV at his house in the dark.
Mom went to school when she was young, and the desks in the classroom were wooden and the chairs were made of iron. There was no music classroom, just an auditorium where the teacher played the organ and taught us to sing. Nowadays we sit in a spacious and clean classroom, absorbing the knowledge spread to us by each teacher, running happily on the plastic track, and lightly playing the keyboard in the computer room ......
Three decades of rapid changes have made us make great spiritual and material improvements. Living in this happy era, we need to double our treasure, I have to study harder, grow up, do my best to make our country more and more rich and powerful, better life!
