Nihon University (にほんだいがく, Nihon University) is a private university in Japan. It is the largest comprehensive university in Japan. Abbreviations: Nihon University (にちだい), NS. Nihon University's academic departments are located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; Nerima-ku, Tokyo; Itabashi-ku, Tokyo; Fujisawa-shi, Kanagawa-ken; Minuma-ku, Saitama-shi, Saitama-ken; Tokorozawa-shi, Saitama-ken; Funabashi-shi, Chiba-ken; Shiseno-shi, Chiba-ken; Matsuido-shi, Chiba-ken; Mishima-shi, Shizuoka-ken; and Koriyama-shi, Fukushima-ken.

In the 2006 edition of Asahi Shimbun's book, "Ranking Universities," the university with the largest number of students is Nihon University, with 66,831 students, followed by Waseda University (42,121); Keio University, with 28,112 students, is listed in the 6th place; the University of Tokyo, with 14,888, is listed in the 21st place; and Kyoto University, with 13,099, is listed in the 6th place. University of Tokyo with 14,888 students, ranking 21st, and Kyoto University with 13,099 students, ranking 26th. In the ranking of the number of full-time faculty members, the University of Tokyo, with 2,808, ranked first, followed by Nihon University with 2,291, and Kyoto University, with 1,945, ranked third; Waseda University, with 1,383, and Keio University, with 1,365, ranked 9th and 10th.
In addition, according to the statistics of the Japan College Advancement Network, in 2009, the national college students volunteer rate of male third, male and female combined fourth, the country has the results of the celebrity statistics, combined third, the number of comedians number 1, the number of famous announcers fourth, the number of famous athletes number two, the number of field hockey players number seven, cartoonists number six, the number of novels and screenwriters number seven, the number of politicians number four, the number of representatives to participate in the Beijing Olympic Games, the number of representatives to participate in the Beijing Olympic Games, the number of representatives to participate in the Beijing Olympic Games. School History:
The University of Japan has 14 departments (equivalent to faculties), 20 graduate schools (equivalent to research institutes), 7 departments of junior colleges, 4 departments of distance education, 4 departments of vocational schools, 29 research institutes, and 7 hospitals. It is the largest comprehensive university in Japan, and also the university that produces the most business operators in Japan. 1889 (Meiji 22) October, the predecessor of Nihon University, the Japan Law School (today's Faculty of Law) was founded when the Minister of Justice, Mr. Yamada Hidetoshi's efforts to establish Nihon University's status as the ancestor of the school. The Faculty of Medicine, was established in the old days. Many of the professors trained at this school were from prestigious families, and it was well known throughout the country. At present, it is well known for its research on brain cryotherapy, hepatitis B injections, and Nihon University's artificial joints. In recent years, the Center for Integrated Research in Advanced Medicine (Advanced Medical Research Center) has been established to promote research activities. There are also three affiliated hospitals (Itabashi? Surugadai? Itabashi, Surugadai, and Nerima Kougaoka) and a rehabilitation center. The Faculty of International Relations was one of the first in Japan. The Faculty of Arts has also produced many artists and actors. The Nihon University Sumo Club is very famous and has produced many great sumo wrestlers.
