"Little Tigers" was the most popular singing group in Taiwan's pop music scene in the late 80's and early 90's. It had set a record of more than 20 sold-out concerts, which shook up the music scene and made it the most active newcomer to the music scene in Taiwan at that time. However, Little Tigers announced its disbandment in 1991 because its members had to go to school and perform military service respectively. In the new century, there have been rumors of a reunion to recapture the glory of that year's success, but it was difficult to do so because they already belonged to different companies. In the 2010 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, the trio reunited to sing three of their classic songs, "Love," "Butterfly Flying," and "Green Apple Paradise.
In 1989, the Tigers played 20 sold-out concerts on a six-month tour. When they toured from Taipei to Kaohsiung in a "container truck", groups of crazy fans rode their bicycles all the way to track them down, calling out their names, and the phenomenon of "chasing the stars" drew a lot of attention from the island's media. Especially in 1991, studying in Taiwan's first key high school Jianguo Middle School, "good tiger" Su Youpeng, with Taiwan's fifth place in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Taiwan University, even the most conservative parents have begun to encourage their children to learn from the "Little Tigers".
Not only that, but 1989 was a lonely year for pop music in the mainland, but it can be called the "year of the introduction". The popularity of Hong Kong and Taiwan singers such as the Tigers filled the gap in the market caused by the downturn in mainland pop music. In addition, between 1989 and 1990, mainland pop works began to flow to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. In the 1990s, there were many new changes in the Chinese mainland pop music scene. Record companies' understanding of the commercialization of pop music and the corresponding operating procedures were greatly improved, and creators' explorations of music forms also achieved promising results. In 1991, Su Youpeng was admitted to the University of Taiwan, Chen Zhipeng to go to the army, Taiwan's male youth to a certain age mandatory military service, the stars can not escape this pass, so then forced to disband. After the reunion, and then due to Wu Qilong military service, in December 1995 again disbanded. That year, in the release of "love", "goodbye", "forever Tigers" three albums, the Tigers in a sigh of relief and retention sound announced "disbanded". In the song they promised fans "please believe that we will meet again tomorrow, just like white clouds can not leave the blue sky ......" Tigers disbanded, so many people sad for a while, they moved out of the Tigers all the albums, listen to it again and again and again.
