Xu Jinglei’s early life

Xu Jinglei was born in April 1974 in a residential area near Sanlitun, Beijing. Her father Xu Zijian and mother Yu Shurong were both ordinary workers. Xu Jinglei also has a younger brother.

Due to his expertise in calligraphy, he was recommended to a middle school in Chaoyang District, Beijing. When she was a child, she did not have aura or self-confidence. Actor or director were not yet in her vocabulary. She was just a thin and dark little girl. She did not like writing when she was a child, but she was "forced" by her father to study in the calligraphy class of the Municipal Children's Palace. Every day He practiced calligraphy and recited Tang poetry under his father's strict education.

After Xu Jinglei went to school, her father Xu Zijian resigned from the factory and opened a factory making neon lights. After the factory opened, it received a lot of business making neon light boxes. Due to the technical limitations of the time, the words on the light boxes had to be written by humans. However, the cost of finding a calligrapher was too high. In order to save costs, his father Xu Zijian decided to let his daughter do the writing.

Later, Xu Jinglei watched others paint, and she also fell in love with painting. At the age of 17, she rode a bicycle through the vast city of Beijing and walked long distances to study painting. Within a year, she was determined to get into the Department of Theater Arts and the Academy of Arts and Crafts, but failed. At that time, I applied for the makeup major of the Department of Stage Art of the Central Academy of Drama, but was not admitted. Later, he was admitted to the acting department of Beijing Film Academy.
