Where is Rizhao lighthouse scenic spot (Wanpingkou seaside lighthouse) located?

Rizhao Lighthouse Scenic Area is named after the lighthouse in the area. The northern part of the scenic spot is connected with Wanpingkou Waterfront Scenic Spot, World Sailing Championship Base and Water Sports Base. To the south is Rizhao Port, the second largest coal export terminal in China.

The scenic spot was opened to tourists in May 2005. Its planning and design scheme adopts the winning bid scheme of American EDSA company, and the landscape design is carried out by Shenzhen North Lin Yuan Landscape Planning and Design Co., Ltd., and Rizhao City Construction Committee undertakes the overall transformation. The total area of the scenic spot is about 500,000 square meters, which is divided into three functional areas: seaside leisure, hotel holiday service and characteristic business.

The lighthouse tourist scenic spot has a coastline of 2 kilometers, and there are rare natural reefs along the northern coast of China. In hot summer, tourists can play with water, play by rocks, or pick up shells and crabs in the sea. In autumn and winter, tourists can watch the sea and listen to the sound of waves on the shore. Here, the sea and the sky are the same color, the scenery is beautiful, and tourists are woven all year round. It is a good place to see the sea, listen to the waves and watch the sunrise. 2 million tourists come here every year.
