Dawanshi Residence I. Ancient Monuments in Shenzhen (3)

It's great to find another monument in Shenzhen, the Dawan Shijiu.

Dawan Shijiu, located in Longgang District, Shenzhen City, Pingshan, is the Qing Dynasty Qianlong period of the ancient fortress-style Hakka dragon house building, covering an area of 15,000 square meters. Plane is square, four corners of the building has a gun tower, the front has a large six floor, are connected to the high wall, the wall has a horse gallery connected. In front of the door for the Wo Ping, and then in front of the moon shaped pond.

? "Dawanshiju" four big characters in Yangwen engraved in the lintel above. The door has high eaves, and the doorway is carved with various characters, birds and flowers. The house has two walls, one inside and the other outside, and is built with mud, lime and boulders, with 3-storey-high pavilions at the four corners. This castle-like "Baodou" shaped building constitutes a unique way of survival for the Hakka people: to resist foreign invasion and prevent theft.

The naming of Dawanshijiu is quite elaborate. The name of the house is quite elaborate. Liu Xiang biography ":" camping up Eupju, the cost of the work of the big ten thousand hundred." Ancient note: "Dawan, billion also; large, huge also." The Dictionary explains, "Dawan: It's like a huge million." The construction of this Dawan Shijiu lasted several decades, its time-consuming, costly, large-scale, named "Dawan", not an exaggeration.

Quickly go in to see the Dawan Seju style!

Crossing the gate, the north and south ends of the enclosure is actually a wide street, in front of a square square, under the pagoda can accommodate hundreds of people lion dance or watch a play. Through the pagoda into the ancestral temple, "Duanyi Gong Ancestral Hall" four big words to remind you that this is the core of the enclosure: Legend has it that the founder of the Dawanshiju Zeng Chuanzhou (word Duanyi) when he was young, rely on the ducks and geese and give people to push the wheelbarrow to transport lime to maintain a living, day after day a little bit of savings, but because of the poverty caused by the good gambling, and then cut off the thumb of the right hand to quit gambling. Since then, he has developed his business and opened oil and sugar factories and many stores in Pingshan, Longgang and Danshui. Dawanshi Residence was built in the 56th year of the Qianlong reign, when Zeng Chuanzhou was already 58 years old. At the end of the Qianlong period, Huizhou floods, Zeng Chuanzhou and his eldest son Zeng Guangdou actively donate to the disaster relief, were granted by the court respectively Rulin Lang (sixth grade) donate staff and donate supervisors.

Check the genealogy that: Zeng's origin in the Central Plains Wucheng, Ming Yongle early years moved to Jiangxi Jian Yongfeng Jiyang Village, then relocated to Fujian Tingzhou, Ninghua County, Shibi Village, then relocated to Guangdong Teochew Haiyang County, then relocated to the Xingning, to the thirteenth Jane Hui Gong began to relocate to the Pingshan.

The ancestor of the family is located in front of the ancestral seat, the ancestral hall pattern of three into two patios and two corridors, three into the upper, middle and lower hall, the middle hall is the patriarchs of the place of deliberation. The middle hall is the meeting place of the patriarchs. After the ancestral hall is separated by a day street, the "Kui Xing Lou" is located next to it, which is the highest point of the house and is called "Kui Xing Doudou". The whole enclosure forms the pattern of "eight pavilions and eighteen wells in nine days", which is spectacular. The layout of Tianjie is six vertical and three horizontal, with alleys, crisscrossing and well-organized, and the ground of the streets and alleys is paved with gray sand or cobblestone. Even better is that each patio has a gutter, and the sky street drainage ditch, the drainage ditch has a culvert, and the half-moon shaped pond outside the enclosure diffusion, the pond has a water gate, drainage is extremely convenient.

In addition to the unique layout and modeling of the Dawanseiju, there are many precious folk relics, which makes people look at it.

I never thought that businessmen not only donate to the government and still seek elegance. Inside and outside the ancestral hall, the wall of the hall beam calligraphy and painting, carved beams and painted buildings, craftsmanship is extremely exquisite. On the wall of the hall is Wang Bo's "Tengwangge Preface", Meng Haoran's "Spring Dawn", Wang Zhilu's "Ascend the Stork Tower", Jin Changxu's "Spring Grievance" of the cursive remains as well as the vivid "Eight Immortals" group painting. They have survived more than two hundred years of natural and man-made disasters.

In addition, the couplets here are also quite profound. The couplet on the main door reads "Daho Baohe, Wanfu You Tong", which is from "Poetry Trail", with rich connotations. Xiao Ya", has a rich connotation. The pagoda in front of the "Duanyi Ancestral Hall" has four stone pillars and three stone tablets, and one of them is engraved with Yangwen on both sides, which reads "Don't replace the citation" and "Its spinning is auspicious", together with another couplet in the upper hall. "The structure of the hall is in keeping with the old virtues of Wirin Xiuqi, and Zonggong Liujing is hoping that the spirit of the ancestors will be properly Chung Kettle". Hanging on the wall of the hall beams are three plaques: "State Secretary", "Zanzheng Hongcai" and "Haste and righteousness", which are a perfect interpretation of the foundation of the house of virtue, loyalty and filial piety, and the character of Chongwen.

Being there, you can not only feel the owner's wealth, but also truly experience the rich Hakka culture and living customs.
