A friend said that Nanyan Lake is the only place nearby where you can run. Since he's a big runner and I can only run a little, I've never been able to run with him. It was only at my strong request that I had my 1st night run this evening.
Nanyan Lake, the greenway around the lake is 4.8 kilometers in length, and the scenery is good. The green trees, wetland lakes, bridges and small islands are interspersed, and there are also a lot of birds perched.
The weather has been cooler at night, a lot of wear long coat and long pants. Arriving at the main gate of Nanyan Lake is 7:50 pm, there are many people dancing in front of the door, along the main gate to the inside, 50 meters or so there is a runway around the lake, the greenway is very wide, there should be 10 meters. What a great choice for a night run.
We started running from the right, the greenway, there are a lot of people. There is a family parent-child run, there are individuals running, there are big names and small white people like me, from time to time to see white-haired old people chatting and walking.
My previous speed is normally 7~8 minutes per kilometer, and tonight the first 3 kilometers in a row showed 11~12 minutes, which confused me. Because the total length is 4.8 kilometers, I originally planned to run a lap, five kilometers. Running half an hour, keep informed only 3 kilometers, the first time is also not clear road conditions, just continue to run, unknowingly ran 2 laps, with a time of 01:09:15, according to my condition at that time, can continue, but taking into account the 1st time, or to take it easy.
The feeling of night running is still very good, the scenery is good, the air is good, the mood is good. Even though my friend was running fast and left me far behind, it was quite an accomplishment when I kept overtaking the people around me. I'm not sure how much I'm going to get out of this one, but I'm sure I'm going to be able to get out of this one.
Running is all about participation and perseverance, and I'm looking forward to the next time I continue to surpass myself.
