We all know that there is an idiom called not a sound, but a shocking sound, which is talking about King Chu Zhuang. In fact, the reason why King Zhuang of Chu sank for three years was because of his grandfather, King Cheng of Chu.
Though he intended to dominate the Central Plains, King Cheng of Chu was defeated by Jin in a battle, and after the defeat, King Cheng of Chu was not happy with anyone, and even the crown prince whom he had set up early was very uncomfortable to look at. When he was thinking of changing the crown prince, his son started to kill him. In the end, his son forced King Cheng of Chu to hang himself and became King of Chu himself.
And all this was seen by King Mu's son, also known as King Zhuang of Chu. As a result, King Zhuang of Chu lived a very melancholy life as a child.
This also led to the fact that King Zhuang of Chu did not want to revitalize the state of Chu in the first three years after he ascended to the throne, and in these three years he was indulging in singing and dancing in the palace. Therefore, he was regarded by the ministers as a dim king, and was scolded by some ministers.
Then, King Zhuang of Chu was threatened by the powerful ministers, and after a shocking abduction, King Zhuang of Chu began the first step of awakening. It was at this time that more and more loyal ministers once again began to advise King Cheng of Chu to revitalize the Chu state. Wu Shen was one of these ministers. Wu Shen cited a bird that had stopped for three years to King Zhuang of Chu, saying that the bird had not flown for three years, but flew up to the sky, and that the bird had not sung for three years, but sang for a long time. Wu Shen hoped that King Zhuang of Chu could be awakened, and King Zhuang of Chu seemed to be enlightened after hearing this story.
After that, another minister broke into the palace at night to teach King Chu a lesson, and King Chu didn't get angry when he heard it, but instead, he held his hand and started to discuss political affairs with him.
In this way, King Zhuang of Chu abandoned his disguise and began a glorious era of his own.
