Jazz dance:

It is a dance brought to the United States by African slaves, so its dance is like the African character: primitive, passionate and unrestrained. After jazz dance spread to America, it absorbed elements and skills of ballet, modern dance, street dance and Latin dance. Jazz dance in the gym is an improved "jazz aerobics", and the coach will transform the soothing pop and traditional jazz music into rhythmic aerobics music.

Street dance:

Also known as HIP-HOP, it originated from the impromptu dance movements of American street dancers, also known as STREET FUNK. Hip-hop is loved by young people because of its relaxed and free personality and rebellious spirit. Its unique style is to pay attention to the coordination of the body, the rhythm of the upper body and the movements of the head and hands, so it consumes fat and relieves mental stress. Because it can adjust the psychology of practitioners, it is called a sport that makes people smile and train.

POPPIN ':

POP refers to the visual pause effect produced by tightening and relaxing body muscles to achieve the purpose of vibration.

Its main point is to control your own body. Only when you completely control your body can you say that you have grasped some essence of Poppin. Generally speaking, Poppin dance refers to a kind of dance that causes visual impact and skillfully expresses rhythm and melody by using these techniques.

In the early days when Poppin appeared, it mainly imitated actions such as robots, which is why many people called Poppin mechanical dance.

Reggae:

Reggae originated in the 1960s. Chinese translated into "Reggae". Its distinctive feature is a strong Caribbean national style.

The birthplace of reggae is Jamaica. The word reggae comes from "rags" and represents Jamaica's sloppy dance form.

Reggae pays more attention to drums and singing in music. Reggae has obvious rhythm and fixed melody line. "Pure Reggae" is a kind of music that feels very fresh and sunny, combining traditional African rhythm, American rhythm and blues and Jamaican original folk music. This style includes syllable omission in weak beats, guitar playing with upward beats, and vocal chorus. The lyrics are mainly based on the religious tradition of Rastafari (Jamaican black Sect), emphasizing social, political and humanistic care and expressing the pursuit of freedom and happiness.

Hip hop music:

First of all, it must be explained that hip-hop here refers to hip-hop, which is different from the general hip-hop culture. Street dance is a kind of street dance, and street dance is an integral part of street dance culture.

In the most primitive stage of hip-hop, there are only three major dances, namely, Poppin, Breakin (a dance with many handstand and rotation skills) and Lockin (lock dance). (Note: The latter two dances are not introduced here for the time being. )

So these three kinds of dances roughly constitute the old-school part of street dance.

Later, some people began to try to express their feelings about music in some new ways, some free and casual movements. Therefore, many new dances have been developed, and hip-hop is one of the most popular dances.

Street dance is based on the rhythm of the body, which is often called "up and down". Focus on the flexible use of joints, reflecting the feeling of freedom and relaxation of the whole person and expressing music flexibly.

Because of its great freedom, this kind of dance is currently divided into two styles in the world, named after the city it represents, namely, new york style and LA style.

Things in these two fields are polarized. For example, the N.Y style emphasizes the distortion of the body and joints, which can also be regarded as the style of some existing series of dances. It's not hard to imagine that dancing in situ plus body waves (current) is a kind of black leisure style. L.A STYLE street dance inherits and continues the popular feeling in the period of Mc Hammer and bobby brown, emphasizing the variability of big movements and steps, but also maintaining its explosive characteristics. Many new tricks have been added to the movement changes, especially the performance of drums, and the visual effect is very good.

Lock':

"Lock"-a classic dance with fashionable style. As its name suggests, "lock" is characterized by a sudden pause after a series of unusual dance moves, as if it were locked. In the 1970s, Don Cambell, a famous fashionable dancer, formed the first dance company "The Campbellock Dancers", whose plays "The Campbell Lock" and "Locking" are still regarded as street dance classics.

New jazz:

Jazz is a very important part of modern dance, and its position in classical dance is comparable to ballet.

And new jazz, as its name implies, is new jazz. Also accompanied by fashion, it can be said that it is a revolutionary development of traditional jazz dance.

In the early days, pure jazz dance, like many other dances, was a very serious or rigid "elegant art", which often only appeared in some very formal occasions. At the same time, there are also very strict requirements for dancers' basic skills and physical conditions. However, it is difficult for most people to meet such requirements. Therefore, jazz has gradually become a purely ornamental performance, lacking participation and entertainment.

With the progress of the times and the development of society, some people began to try to break this rigid framework and add pop elements to traditional pure jazz. Facts have proved that this is a success. So far, new jazz has developed into genres such as street jazz, strong jazz, HIPHOP jazz, Latin jazz, club jazz, Broadway jazz and so on.
