By holding a training class for young people in party member, the city's league organizations at all levels recommended 2,287 outstanding league members as the development targets of the Party, and 1 and/36 1 youth members joined the Party, which added vitality and vigor to the Party team and played a good exemplary role among the youth members. Hold activities to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Communist Youth League with the theme of "Always Follow the Party", review the glorious history of the Communist Youth League, enhance the sense of responsibility and mission, and strengthen the political belief of always following the Party; Organize the 80th anniversary knowledge contest of the Communist Youth League, the Youth Poetry Society, the Changshu Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum, and the painting and calligraphy exhibition to commemorate the centenary of Deng Xiaoping's birth, so as to arouse the enthusiasm of young people for loving the motherland, the people and their hometown. Through the selection of learning-oriented young pioneers, young reading families, youth culture demonstration parks, top ten young people who respect the elderly and other activities, we will cultivate young people's spirit of loving learning and making continuous progress and carry forward the traditional virtues of respecting the elderly.

Youth volunteer activities have flourished and the spirit of volunteering has been further promoted. League organizations at all levels in the city constantly improve the recruitment, training, management, use, evaluation and incentive mechanism of young volunteers. By adjusting the composition of youth volunteer associations, setting up Changshu volunteer service network, organizing online registration of young volunteers and holding the flag-raising ceremony of professional youth volunteer service teams, the organization network was further improved and the operation and management mechanism was standardized. Organize a series of voluntary services such as volunteer service in the Grand Square, green action to protect the mother river, respect for the elderly and poverty alleviation, urban cleaning, tree planting and greening, forest protection and fire prevention, poverty alleviation and medical assistance, blood donation and marrow donation. To encourage young people to contribute to the promotion of new social trends; Young volunteers overcame all kinds of difficulties and participated in the 14th women's basketball championship, "The Power of Friendship" exchange visit, World Cup water skiing championship, fashion fair, civilized traffic engineering and other large-scale activities with full enthusiasm. The activities of establishing civilized youth communities are carried out in an orderly manner to promote the spiritual civilization construction of the community masses. The love journey of poor students pays attention to the inner world of vulnerable people and cultivates education of ideals and beliefs. Nearly 1,000 poor students from Xiangshui, Sihong, Hengshan, Linzhou and other places in Tibet and more than 3,500 local poor students received twinning funding. Organize school teams to concentrate on studying the law on the protection of minors and the law on the prevention of juvenile delinquency, and carry out various forms of legal education activities in schools by means of movies, special exhibitions, story meetings, knowledge contests and cartoons according to the characteristics of teenagers, popularize the law, and guide teenagers to consciously learn, understand, abide by and protect the law; New measures such as mock trial, lectures by off-campus counselors, legal education base activities and youth warning education base activities have further broadened the ways and channels of legal education for young people; By holding the "Safe Action" cartoon contest, paying attention to the special report on the growth of minors, and teaching young people basic skills such as traffic safety, self-help and self-care, good educational results have been achieved. Take the activity of "three struggles and three innovations" as the carrier, and earnestly serve young farmers to become rich and talented. By organizing "Youth Workshop" training courses, holding breeding lectures, symposiums and going out to visit, we will help rural youth to further master technology and information, enhance their awareness of scientific breeding and marketing, and improve their market competitiveness and scientific management level; League organizations at all levels use youth centers and other positions to carry out activities of "serving rural youth to increase their income and become talents" and sending agricultural experts to the countryside by science and technology, so that young farmers and agricultural experts can face each other and communicate directly to solve problems; Make use of superior resources, conduct in-depth research on fruit and vegetable bases in our city, organize agricultural service institutions such as Suzhou Fruit and Vegetable Distribution Company to build an information exchange platform, and further expand sales channels; By publishing the Journal of Youth Association for Promoting Agriculture through Science and Education, we can provide experts' opinions, agricultural technology information and agricultural hot spots for the majority of members and effectively serve rural youth. League organizations at all levels conscientiously publicize and implement the "Implementation Outline of Civic Moral Construction", hold activities such as joining the team, joining the league, joining the party, and adult ceremonies, vigorously advocate basic moral norms among the majority of young people, and improve their moral quality; Do a good job in the construction of middle school league schools and amateur party schools, hold training courses for middle school cadres, and widely implement the quality development plan for middle school students to encourage young people to become talents, effectively improving the quality of young students in the city. By holding green flashing painting contest, DV contest and children's letter writing contest, we can promote culture and art among students, enhance their feelings of patriotism and love for their hometown, and cultivate children's practical ability. Through folk song contest, "Changshu-Sihong" summer camp, theme team day observation, "Old Changshu and Little Changshu watch the new Changshu together", "Going into the west and caring for the west" and other theme activities, the experiential education activity of "I can do it in the new century" will be promoted. By launching the special TV experience education program of "Growing Worry-Free", organizing the collection of special summer activities to enrich students' summer life; By holding a series of activities to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Young Pioneers Team, we will guide minors to preach the national spirit, learn legal knowledge, and care for the disadvantaged groups around them, so as to create a good atmosphere for the healthy growth of minors. The Communist Youth League Committee also organized the city's school teams to carry out the assessment of "Red Flag Brigade" and "Three-Star Youth League Committee" through the establishment of the Red Scarf Council, striving for "Three-Star Team Room" and "Young Eagle School" in Suzhou, and improving the overall level of school team work in Changshu. At present, there are 6 "National Red Flag Brigade" in our city, and 44 "three-star team rooms" have been built in Suzhou, covering 88%. We will launch a pilot project to build a national rural youth center and create a new carrier for serving young people. In August 2003, our city became one of the first pilot cities (counties, districts) for the construction of rural youth centers in China. After extensive mobilization and careful deployment, six regions in the city have completed the construction of youth centers by building organizational service networks and innovating work carriers. Over the past year or so, all kinds of youth centers have developed healthily in accordance with the construction mode of "one town and one specialty", and the members of youth centers have gradually grown, the service projects have been increasing, and the service concept has gradually been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. By actively exploring and optimizing Changshu Youth Card, municipal franchisees will operate in a socialized and market-oriented way, and the service field of youth centers will be extended; Try to pair up with colleges and universities, start the volunteer service for college students in the youth center, organize the medical service for college students in Nantong Medical College, and hold the "Cultural Exhibition for Students from Changshu Institute of Technology in Yuhai Youth Center" to make the youth center a designated service base for college students' social practice. Standardize the basic work of the league and consolidate the construction of grassroots league organizations. The Communist Youth League Committee has formulated the "Three-year Plan for Strengthening the Construction of Rural Grass-roots League Organizations in the City", which guides the grass-roots league organizations to carry out their work from the aspects of organizational setup, the construction of league members and the activities of the league. In 2004, the work of the Youth League Committee was assessed with a hundred percent system, and the May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee was awarded to the municipal level every year according to the assessment results, which stimulated the enthusiasm of grass-roots organizations to create the May 4th Red Flag Youth League Committee, expanded the coverage of grass-roots activities, formed a working mechanism of layer-by-layer creation, and showed the work style of "one group with one product". Adapt to the trend of industrialization and urbanization, and promote the non-public economy and community league building. Through in-depth research and meticulous work, league organizations at all levels set up league organizations in non-public enterprises in batches and at different levels, starting from the enterprises of their respective scales. More than 250 new economic organizations in the city have established league organizations through independent league organizations, affiliated league organizations and regional league organizations. Over the past three years, the new economic organization has adjusted its position according to local conditions, played a role around the central work and cultural construction of the enterprise, and gradually established the position of the Communist Youth League Committee in the enterprise, which has played a unique advantage in promoting the healthy development of the new economic organization and improving the overall quality of young workers. The Youth League Committee of Yushan Town cooperated with the adjustment of the administrative division of the town, and the original street Youth League Committee and the original natural town Youth League Committee were transformed into the management district Youth League Committee accordingly. All the original neighborhood committees' league branches were straightened out, adjusted and set up, and community youth league branches were established.
Improve the youth social organization system and effectively extend the working arm of the Communist Youth League. By developing and perfecting youth social organizations and improving the network construction of youth organizations, young people of different fields, levels and ages can be effectively United around the Communist Youth League organizations. The Third National Committee of the Youth Federation was convened, and the Young Entrepreneurs Association and the Youth Federation Old Committee Association were established to gather influential young talents from all walks of life. Looking back on our work in the past three years, we have made great achievements. However, we are also clearly aware that there are still many problems and deficiencies in our work. Mainly manifested in: some league organizations lack combat effectiveness, and some league members do not play an advanced role enough; The way of setting up the grass-roots organizations of the Youth League can't keep up with the objective requirements of economic and social changes and changes in youth mobility. The construction of the Youth League needs to be further strengthened, and there is still a lack of effective mechanisms for the management of mobile members. Teenagers' ideological and political work needs to try new carriers and new models to meet the needs of the situation, and the pertinence and effectiveness of education need to be further strengthened; The content of youth work needs to be enriched, and the way and effect of serving youth need to be further improved; There is still a gap between the quality of some league cadres and the requirements of the party and the expectations of young people.
