Pikou Port is the largest land island communication port in the northeast of China.

Pikou Port has a long history, and it was an important berthing point in southern Liaoning as early as the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty.

Guo Moruo, a great writer,1autumn of 948, sailed from Hong Kong to the northeast. When passing through Pikou Port, I was attracted by the beautiful scenery here and wrote happily, leaving "the boat is hanging in front of the nest and the sun is shining;" Wang Yang is green in indigo, and small fish corals are painted on a screen.

With the active promotion of "Five Points and One Line" and even the implementation of the national strategy of "Bohai Economic Belt", Pikou Harbor Industrial Zone has ushered in new development opportunities. Pikou Street seized this opportunity, relying on the advantages of port logistics, leveraging other regional economies and port resources to form a coordinated development, so that the port-based industry can quickly release greater development potential.

Overlooking Pikou Street Central Park, the 3000-meter-long port approach embankment connects the land with Niuyan Tuo in a line, like a dragon, constantly drawing strength from the sea and driving the economic take-off of the ancient town.

With the continuous improvement of infrastructure construction in recent years, Pikou Port has now built 3,600 meters of offshore approach dike, 5 berths for 300 tons of passengers and cargoes, 2 ro-ro terminals for 500 tons of passengers, 2 ro-ro terminals for 1000 tons of passengers, 30,000 square meters of freight yard, 7.7 square meters of parking lot, 3,000 meters of communication lines and 10 kW of power lines.

In 2002, a luxury passenger station building of 5700 square meters was built, and its overall service function is in a leading position in the northern sea passenger transport.

At present, Pikou Port has an annual cargo throughput of 800,000 tons and an annual passenger throughput of 690,000 passengers. It is a comprehensive port integrating passengers, goods and fishing.

At present, the national first-class fishing port construction project in Pikou Port has been fully started. The construction contents include: building a wharf 109 m, a breakwater of 500 m, a cofferdam 1022 m, a dredging basin of 600,000 cubic meters, a law enforcement accreditation center of 500 square meters, and supporting hydropower facilities and communication and navigation equipment.

The total investment of the project will reach more than 29 million yuan, and the whole construction period is expected to be completed in two years, 20 10.

It is located in the southern waters of Changshan Waterway in the Yellow Sea, southwest of Pikou Street, about 3 kilometers away from the land and east of Niuyantuo Wharf, with an area of about 0.3 square kilometers, and there are no residents on the island.
