Hebei Polytechnic University, formerly known as the Mining Department of Beiyang West School, was founded in 1895. Founded in 1958, 1959 was incorporated into the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Tianjin University. In the past, the names of Tangshan Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and Hebei Institute of Technology were used. 1984 was renamed North China Coal Medical College. 20 15 changed to North China University of Science and Technology.

Each dormitory area has a three-story canteen (that is, four canteens in Meilan Bamboo House). Every canteen and even every floor is run by different catering companies or schools. There are many varieties, the taste is acceptable, and there are common meals, which basically meet the tastes of students all over the country. If you want to eat something else, you can go to the commercial street (now you can't go because of the epidemic). Luckin coffee was opened in Zhuyuan and Juyuan this year. ? Accommodation condition
Dormitories are mostly two floors north and south, except Lan 7 is a single building, and Lan 5 and Mei 5 are three floors north and south. There is no separate bathroom in the dormitory. There are two public toilets on each floor of every building. The toilet has compartments, which are cleaned by cleaning staff every day, and there is also a hot water room, which is connected with direct drinking water by swiping the card. There are three grades of heat and moderate cooling (in fact, in many cases, cool = temperature = more than 20 degrees). There is also a certain amount of free domestic hot water every month, which is also used for washing clothes. There are also two or three laundry rooms in each building, and the price is good. There is a self-service printer in the lobby on the first floor.
? sports facilities
There are four gymnasiums in No.1 Middle School, two in the east and two in the west. Among them, Dongyi Gymnasium, which is located in the southeast, has stands, and almost all physical education class are here, and the body side is also here. Inside the stands is a running corridor, as well as an equipment room and some offices. Yoga, aerobics and bodybuilding are taught in the sports building in the north of the gymnasium. In addition to the football field, there are four basketball courts and tennis courts, as well as a gym (I hope it will be open every day in the future), a paid swimming pool and a gym.

The school library has good facilities, rich collection resources and elegant interior decoration design. In addition, the library in area C can also be used. ? Campus introduction
At present, the school has three campuses in use, namely Caofeidian Campus, Xinhua Road Campus and Jianshe Road (East) Campus (University Road Campus, Jianshe Road West Campus and Fengnan Tangji Campus, which have been closed, are under construction). At present, undergraduate freshmen and most graduate freshmen are in Caofeidian campus. Medical students will move to Tangshan after studying in Tangshan for at least two and a half years, and live in Jianshe Road (East) Campus (Kailuan Hospital, Affiliated Hospital), Xinhua Road Campus (Affiliated Hospital) and off-campus dormitory (People's Hospital) according to different trainee hospitals. A few graduate students (generally medical specialties) will have different accommodation according to different training places.
