Yanglin Fat Wine is a legend brewed in Mao Lan. Although it is not credible, it is absolutely true that Yanglin Fat Wine is related to Mao Lan. During the Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty, there was a "Yubao" firm in Shuiguan Street, Yanglin, and its boss was Chen Mingding. Boss Chen is very close to boss Dai Yannong, who opened a bookstore diagonally opposite his shop. Later, the two families also formed the children's in-laws. When Chen Dingchang went to Dai's home, he asked Dai Yannong, a well-read person, about the nature, taste and basic knowledge of pharmacology of medicinal materials, and discussed the formula of health-care medicinal liquor. Dai Yannong, who is proficient in pharmacology, once suggested that Chen Ding make a delicious and healthy medicinal liquor with reference to the production process of Mao Lan's Eighteen Prescriptions of Water and Wine. Chen dingxin adopted it. So Chen and Dai Qi Xin joined forces to add more than ten kinds of Chinese medicines, such as codonopsis pilosula, round meat, jujube, dried tangerine peel and clove. On the basis of Mao Lan's Fairy Prescription of Medicinal Liquor and Eighteen Prescriptions of Water and Wine, green pigment was distilled from green plants such as fennel, pea tip and bamboo leaves, and honey and sucrose were added. After more than ten traditional crafts, it was finally compiled in the sixth year of Guangxu (188).
