Shijiazhuang Zoo was founded in 1954, and the original site is now Shijiazhuang People's Park. 1983, the first expansion and relocation of the park. There are 9 exhibition halls in the venue area, including Giraffe Pavilion, Elephant Pavilion, Amphibious Crawling Pavilion, Aquatic Pavilion, Panda Pavilion, Monkey Pavilion, Orangutan Pavilion, Mandrill Pavilion and Baboon Pavilion.
The new garden displays more than 250 kinds of rare birds and animals at home and abroad, including giant pandas, flamingos, golden monkeys, Siberian tigers, Asian elephants, giraffes, chimpanzees, kangaroos, seals, cassowaries, white tigers, springboks and jackals.
