On June 1 2020, I started from Xinfeng, Jiangxi, all the way west, passing through Jiangxi, Guangdong, Hunan, Anhui, Guizhou, Chongqing and Sichuan, and arrived at Potala Palace Square in Lhasa, Tibet. After riding from my hometown to Tibet, I often think about what changes this riding experience has brought me. Now think about it carefully, in the following aspects!

Before riding a bike, I feel very tired after not pedaling for a long time. I can't breathe when riding a bike uphill now. As we all know, cycling is a very good aerobic exercise, especially long-distance cycling like Tibet. 63 days, riding 4250 kilometers, from morning till night, riding 8-65438 continuously every day.

Eating is relatively simple. Although riding the 3 18 national highway is now a very mature route, accommodation and dining along the way are very convenient, as long as you have enough money with you. But after entering Tibet, some places are relatively remote. If you don't ride to the planned point on time, you will basically eat dry food, instant noodles, biscuits and so on. I brought it at noon and morning, and I can't eat a hot meal until I get to my place. Naturally, it is not as good as it is now. The fat on your body naturally goes down!

As for the road problem, we all know that it is very difficult to ride the 3 18 national highway, especially long-distance riding, plus the complex terrain and unpredictable climate environment encountered after entering Tibet. Panshan highway, altitude sickness, headwind, rotten road, ice and snow, etc. Are common things. There is no ice and snow in summer, but it often rains. When it rains, it will encounter natural disasters such as mudslides, and the road will become more difficult to walk. After entering the Sichuan border, it is necessary to climb over 14 mountains above 4000m, of which two mountains above 5000m can reach Lhasa smoothly.

Therefore, combining these factors, the effect of strengthening physical fitness and losing weight is quite obvious. Take me for example, I weighed 140 Jin before I went there, but only 120 Jin after I came back by bike, and I lost 20 Jin altogether. Although dark and thin, my body's resistance and physical strength have been greatly improved!

The loneliness and hardships on the road made me on the verge of collapse, but I finally gritted my teeth and persisted, because I chose to start on the road and walk through it no matter how hard it was. However, riding on the road, leaving trivial things, troubles and sad things behind, only the front and the road are immersed in the magnificent scenery along the way, so that the fatigue brought by riding brings drowsiness, which is also a way to escape from real life. Time is a good medicine to heal all emotional wounds. We just choose a way different from our daily life to replace our original life. In the end, I found that it could be so long.
