The entrepreneurial road of Eupolyphaga and scorpion breeding

Ma Zhenyong, a college student in Aiting, Linquan County, raises Eupolyphaga and scorpions, with an annual output value of over 200,000 in half a year.

During his college years, he once spent most of his time in the biological laboratory and obtained a national patent for extracting scorpion venom gloves. After graduating from college, he gave up his high-paying job in a special farming enterprise in Bozhou and returned to his hometown to develop Eupolyphaga farming, which was successful. Ma Zhenyong, who graduated from Fuyang Normal University with a major in animal science of 20 10, persisted in putting her dream into practice and embarked on a pioneering road for college students to engage in special farming.

Scorpion breeding in the laboratory

He is of medium height and slightly thin, which is the first impression left by Ma Zhenyong, 24. In a remote village, he tried to start a business with tens of thousands of yuan earned by working after graduating from college, and tasted the hardships of starting a business for the first time. This is where this young man is different from most of his peers.

It turns out that Ma Zhenyong, who majored in animal science, became interested in special farming as early as his sophomore year. "Many students are used to studying in the classroom, but I like to soak in the laboratory all day and deal with those small animals." Ma Zhenyong said that his home is on the north bank of Xiaohonghe River in the south of Aiting Town, where the terrain is relatively low and there are abundant animal and plant resources, including scorpions, centipedes and other Chinese herbal medicines with high medicinal value. In his sophomore year, he once bought 200 East Asian pliers to breed in the laboratory. While being familiar with the life habits of scorpions, he also invented special gloves for extracting scorpion venom, and obtained a practical technology patent issued by China National Intellectual Property Administration.

"At that time, I even took scorpions to the dormitory to raise them, which scared several roommates. However, it is this kind of attempt that laid the foundation for the current entrepreneurship. " Ma Zhenyong said that now, he uses abandoned adobe houses and brick houses in the village to breed Eupolyphaga, scorpions and centipedes, which is the inspiration of his practice and exploration during his college years.

Employment does not forget the dream of entrepreneurship.

Starting from junior year, under the unified arrangement of the school, Ma Zhenyong worked as an intern in a special breeding enterprise in Bozhou, where he studied Eupolyphaga breeding technology. After graduation, he was left to work in this enterprise because of his excellent performance, until he decided to return to his hometown to start a business in August 2005.

Ma Zhen doesn't want to work for others all his life, just like his classmates. However, it is such a simple idea that he never gave up his original dream and chose to start a business one year after graduation. "I have worked for more than two years and accumulated tens of thousands of dollars, all of which are used as investment in entrepreneurship." Ma Zhenyong said that his family is not rich, it is difficult for his parents to get his two brothers married, and it is also difficult for him to go to college. His family all hope that he will find a stable job in the city after graduating from college and bid farewell to the countryside where his ancestors lived. His family did not strongly oppose his business plan, but they did not show special support. However, Ma Zhen Yong, who is optimistic about the special breeding market, did not give up his pursuit because of his family's indecision. He bought Eupolyphaga eggs and hatched them in the abandoned house in the village, expecting the harvest in a few months.

During that time, Ma Zhenyong stayed in the dark and damp old house all day, staring at the thermometer and hygrometer for fear of making any mistakes. After 7 months of experiments, the cultivated Eupolyphaga sinensis has reached the medical standard and is very popular in Bozhou medicinal market. Personal entrepreneurship is successful. However, in order to get more benefits, it is necessary to expand the scale of breeding and improve the scientific and technological content of special breeding.

Try Industry-University-Research combination.

In order to expand the scale of farming, Ma Zhenyong registered and established Anhui Rongkang Special Breeding Co., Ltd., based on its hometown, to develop neighboring farmers. In just half a year, the output value of the enterprise has exceeded 200,000 yuan, and nearly 20 local farmers have been developed. While seeing the economies of scale, Ma Zhenyong thought of cooperating with his alma mater, Fuyang Teachers College, to develop a special breeding project combining Industry-University-Research.

"A few years ago, I paid more attention to student Ma Zhenyong.

Now he cooperates with the school laboratory with his own entrepreneurial project, and our school is very supportive. Qu Changqing, a professor at the School of Biology and Food Engineering of Fuyang Normal University, told reporters that there are not many students who are keen on animal experiments, and even fewer of them can play their professional expertise and put entrepreneurial projects into practice after graduation.

Ma Zhen always has breeding technology, and the school has a scientific research platform. Strengthening the cooperation between the two sides in Industry-University-Research is conducive to the innovation and entrepreneurship of college students and the improvement of the scientific research level of the school. In April this year, we recommended Ma Zhenyong's innovative and entrepreneurial projects to participate in the entrepreneurial practice challenge, and won the Academy-level Gold Award, School-level Gold Award and Provincial Bronze Award respectively. These Industry-University-Research cooperation practices not only created conditions for Ma Zhenyong's career development, but also won honors for Fuyang Normal University, setting an example for college students to innovate and start businesses.

At present, the finished products of Eupolyphaga Seu Steleophaga, Scorpio and Scolopendra produced in Ma Zhenyong are favored by Chinese medicine manufacturers in Bozhou Chinese medicine market because of their low cost, mature technology and excellent quality. "I intend to strive for entrepreneurial loans, build standardized farms, and drive more farmers to increase their income and get rich." Ma Zhenyong said.
