He started playing tennis at the age of five or six, and he grew up playing tennis in the tennis court. At the same time, Xu Feigang liked painting very much at an early age. In the fifth grade, Xu Feigang saw Gao Qiao Yiguang's A Man's Journey, which was his first contact with comics. Because of his love of painting, Xu Feigang reads comics from time to time. His favorite works include Doraemon, Fist of the Big Dipper, City Hunter, JoJo's Magical Adventure, Genius Little Fisherman and so on. Among them, the talented little fisherman influenced his interest in fishing. Xu Feigang even wrote in his graduation collection that "the future dream is to be a cartoonist". In middle school, Xu Feigang still loves sports. He participates in sports activities every day. His favorite subjects are sports and art. At that time, the professional tennis players he admired were Aitburg and Lando. Similarly, Xu Feigang wrote in his graduation thesis that "the future dream is to be a cartoonist". After graduating from high school, Xu Feigang entered Donghai University. Originally, he planned to work in an office after graduation, and then he embarked on the road of cartoonist two years later. After many attempts and efforts, the serial of Cool Rent Bodyguards was finally finalized at 1996. After the release of two special short stories, Cool Rent Bodyguards began a long-term serialization in the 40th issue of Weekly Youth JUMP of 1997. 1998, shortly after the serial of Cool Rent Bodyguards ended, Xu Feigang began to paint The Tennis Prince. At first, the works were serialized in the form of short stories in the weekly magazine Youth Leap, and it was not until the 32nd issue 1999 that they were officially serialized. This work was very popular after its launch, which put Xu Feigang on the road to stability. The serial of The Prince of Tennis finally ended in the 379th cycle, and the single volume has now reached 42 volumes (the last chapter was in June 2008). The 9-year serialization has made The Prince of Tennis a full-length work. By the 40th issue, the cumulative sales record of Tennis Prince in Japan exceeded 40 million. Since The Prince of Tennis was published, there has been an upsurge in Japan and even in the world, including novels, animations (starting from 200 1), games, music (starting from 2003), OVA, live-action movies (2006), stage plays, TV dramas (produced and broadcast in China, planned to be broadcast in 2008) and various fine products. Since the animated version of this work was released, many female readers have been added. Xu Feigang once voiced the animated version of The Prince of Tennis behind the scenes, composed lyrics for animated songs, and even tried to be a guest waiter in the live-action movie of The Prince of Tennis. In the "Ryoma Echizen Mini Album" released in Japan on February 25th, 2005, he even performed a duet with actor Ryoma Echizen's Seiyuu Junko Minagawa. In the 35th issue of Weekly Youth JUMP in 2006, Xu Feigang announced that he had stopped publishing related works for a long time because of his poor health, and at the same time stated that he had no intention of ending the serialization at all. By the 42nd serial in 2006, Xu Feigang explained that he had been unable to sit in a chair for two weeks because of low back pain. With the success of "The Prince of Tennis", Xu Feigang ranked 9th in the entertainment tax list of the National Tax Agency of Japan in 2002, and 3rd among cartoonists, only after Rumiko Takahashi and G?sh? Aoyama, and was 10 in the same statistics in 2006. The most successful place of The Prince of Tennis lies in his portrayal of characters and dazzling tennis skills. No matter the description of the main role of the youth college players or tennis players in other schools, the author is painstaking and meticulous. And take a closer look at these characters, fans will find that they are so kind and have good voices. Because all the characters come from around us, and different temperament is the epitome of everyone in our life.
