Hepatitis C and hepatitis B are transmitted through the same route, not through the normal working route. Therefore, people infected with hepatitis C virus can also engage in normal work and study like normal people.
However, because hepatitis C is contagious, it is still restricted for patients with hepatitis C to find jobs.
Article 10 of the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Regulations on Hygiene Management in Public Places stipulates that:
Operators of public * * * places shall organize employees to carry out annual health check-ups, and employees can only take up their posts after obtaining valid health certificates.
Persons suffering from digestive tract infectious diseases such as dysentery, typhoid fever, viral hepatitis A and viral hepatitis E, as well as persons suffering from active pulmonary tuberculosis, suppurative or exudative skin diseases, shall not engage in the work of directly serving customers before being cured.
