The healthiest body mass index

Body mass index (BMI) is an index to measure a person's weight. At present, the normal weight (body mass index) of adults in China is 18.5 ≤ body mass index < 24. For example, if someone weighs 65 kilograms and is 1.72 meters tall, then his body mass index = 65/(1.72×1.72) = 21.97.

According to the national professional department of China:

When the body mass index < 18.5, it means that the body weight is light;

When 18.5≤ body mass index < 24, it means normal weight;

When 24≤ body mass index < 28, it means overweight;

When the body mass index ≥28, it means obesity.
