I chemistry and health in daily life
People's diet and daily life are closely related to chemistry. However, students, as consumers, are far from meeting the needs of health because they don't know enough about daily chemical products, so they can't use daily chemical products correctly.
The author has been engaged in cooking teaching for many years, and has a comprehensive understanding of the teaching of raw materials, nutrition, hygiene and other aspects of food, such as whether the collocation of seven nutrients in students' family food is reasonable, and what adverse consequences will be caused by too much or too little intake of some nutrients. In the teaching process, the author pays attention to the nutrition and hygiene of packaged food, the harm of preservatives, preservatives and pigments in food additives to people and the maximum dosage, such as sodium benzoate and sodium nitrite in ham sausage; Some toxic additives in food, such as melamine, sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate and clenbuterol. , are taught to students in detail, so that students can correctly understand what harm these harmful substances will do to the human body and help them develop good habits of healthy eating. Through the teaching method of integrating theory with practice, students can gain chemical knowledge and food knowledge, and at the same time, promote their physical and mental health development to the maximum extent.
Second, chemistry and production health
In recent years, some enterprises have not paid enough attention to the production environment, and serious employee poisoning incidents often occur. For example, the benzene poisoning incident of migrant workers in Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province. Combined with this incident, the author introduced the harm of organic solvents, benzene and xylene to human body. At the same time, let the students search online for the harm to workers' health caused by a large number of small workshop-style shoe factories in Wenzhou in the 1980s and 1990s. Because shoe glue contains a lot of toxic chemicals, it has caused serious physical harm to workers in shoe factories, thus making students understand the importance of a safe working environment.
In view of this, the state has promulgated a number of relevant laws and regulations, such as the Law on the Prevention and Control of Occupational Diseases, the Law on Standards, the Provisions on Labor Protection in Workplaces Using Toxic Substances, and the Regulations on the Safety Management of Hazardous Chemicals. In vocational teaching, strengthening students' safety awareness of chemical raw materials and supplies, cultivating students' rigorous attitude in production and experiment, and enhancing their awareness and ability of self-protection are of great benefit to students' future work.
Three. Chemistry and environmental health
There is only one earth for human beings to live on, and the environment is closely related to human survival and health. In today's industrialized social environment, all aspects of social progress are related to chemistry, which objectively forms a realistic situation that environmental pollution is closely related to chemistry. For example, most waste water, waste gas and waste residue are products of chemical industry; The formation of acid rain is related to the emission of SO2, NO2 and other waste gases. Water eutrophication is related to phosphorus; White pollution is more related to organic chemicals. Therefore, in teaching, teachers should explain to students in detail the classification, source and formation process of environmental pollution, as well as its harmfulness, pollution prevention measures and environmental protection concept of waste reuse. In order to realize the sustainable development of society and finally achieve zero emission and pollution, this is a challenge faced by chemistry and chemical industry, as well as chemistry education. Therefore, it is an important link to strengthen students' environmental protection concept and promote students to understand the close relationship between chemistry and environmental health.
