How does Buddhism view beauty?

As for how "Buddhism" views "beauty", I am afraid you can only get an explanation from "Buddhist believers". And "believers" are often religious mortals. So I'm afraid I'm not necessarily qualified to speak for "religion" So it can only be a reference answer. I don't have the ability to speak for myself. I just offer some personal opinions for reference only.

"Beauty" means "a woman with a beautiful image". That is, "a woman who can make people feel happy." On the basis of women, it has "beauty"-that is, the quality that makes people feel happy. This makes its feminine characteristics more popular.

Then according to the concept of "cause and effect". Its quality is not without reason. But for some reasons before. As mortals, I'm afraid we don't know why, that is to say, what doomed this woman to a beautiful image after birth. But in short, its beauty has its reasons. If we think its image is "beautiful", then we can also map out that the "cause" before it is "good". In other words, this "beauty" is a kind of "good fruit".

When dealing with "beauty", what we want to suppress is "lust". Because "heart" determines the nature of behavior. "Erotic thought" is based on self-enjoyment, and even extends the idea of aggression on this basis. For example, "psychosexuality" is an idea that invades the mind and enjoys pleasure. This is already an "evil thought." Although it may not make a specific behavior, as mentioned earlier, "thought determines the nature of behavior." Once the lust arises, just looking at it is already "evil". Because it is "an eye driven by lust." From this, the evil cause was planted and the seeds were laid for the evil consequences. What's more, we have done more.

In order to restrain "lust", we will look at "beauty image" from another angle, such as "impure view". When we look at beautiful women in this way, we will find many bad ingredients, even annoying ingredients. Because we still have beauty and ugliness in our hearts. When we encounter "ugly" elements, we will naturally have the idea of staying away, which is just the opposite of our greed for love when we encounter beauty.

But "impure view" does not mean cursing and slandering the beauty in front of us. "impure views" are aimed at our own hearts. It's not used to denigrate the beauty across the street. What we want to suppress is our inflated "lust heart". We didn't find these worrying elements coexisting with beauty before, but now we will see two sides when we find them. That is to say, "good and evil are inseparable". We only paid attention to its goodness before, but didn't see its evil. Seeing its evil will naturally curb the greed for good.

Therefore, a mentality is very important, that is, "sincerity." When we think that a woman is beautiful in our present state, we have to face our own lust. Instead of denying her beauty without conscience. I don't have the courage to deny "beautiful appearance". Because I do have a distinction between beauty and ugliness at present, when we sculpt Buddha statues and bodhisattvas, we will also paint the image of Buddha and Bodhisattva as "kind and solemn". And there will be bodhisattvas who are now women. So isn't this "bodhisattva with a solemn female body" a "beauty"? Because we have "beauty" in our hearts. When we paint ghosts, we paint them ugly. Because we have "ugly" thoughts in our hearts.

I fear the Bodhisattva because he is a Bodhisattva. When our hearts are clean, we will treat beautiful women with the heart of a bodhisattva. Looking at the image of the bodhisattva with admiration is a move driven by good thoughts, and its nature is naturally good. When it is not clean, natural messy thoughts will rise, such as infringing its thoughts with your own pleasure. So the key is whether the heart is clean. Be honest about this, don't insist. If you can't be clean, you will admit that you are not clean, so you need self-discipline and practice. Otherwise, we will flaunt ourselves in a certain realm. If we can reach that state easily, we are not mortal and do not need to practice. The reason why we want to practice shows that we are still human. ...

Just say my personal opinion, that is, the opinion of an ordinary person, for reference only. If there is anything wrong, I also hope to get some advice. ...
