What are the treatment methods of prostatic hyperplasia?

The treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia is divided into western medicine treatment, Chinese medicine treatment and dietotherapy.

(1) western medicine treatment.

At present, there are three drugs commonly used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia: hormones, α -blockers and plants.

① Hormone drugs: Borrelin is the most commonly used drug, which has a certain positive effect on reducing the content of dihydrotestosterone in prostate, reducing the volume of prostate and relieving symptoms.

② α receptor blockers: The most commonly used drugs are prazosin, santaprost and terazosin. These drugs can relax smooth muscle, dilate urethra and relieve symptoms by blocking the activation of α receptor in bladder neck and prostate smooth muscle.

③ Botanical drugs: Commonly used drugs include Qianliekang, Wuzi Yanzong Pill, Aihuoniaotong, etc. These drugs are effective components extracted from plants or their pollen, which can improve the symptoms of urethral obstruction, but the effect is not as good as the first two drugs, and they are cheap and have few side effects. In addition, microwave, radio frequency, hyperthermia, balloon dilatation and other methods can be used for treatment. When urinary retention occurs, medical staff should be asked to conduct catheterization. If conservative treatment fails, surgery should be performed when there are indications for surgery.

(3) dietotherapy.

Patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia should eat more fruits and vegetables and less high-fat and spicy food. Eat more foods rich in zinc, such as pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, almonds, seaweed, walnuts, chestnuts, milk, peanuts, bean products, shellfish and lean meat. Drink plenty of boiled water and keep it above 1000 ml every day.

Patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia should take an active part in physical exercise, such as walking, jogging, skipping rope, swimming, climbing mountains and playing Tai Ji Chuan. In addition, groin massage is also helpful to the rehabilitation of this disease. The method is to straighten your fingers, massage the groin of both sides 50 ~ 100 times with your hands on the thenar side, subject to local fever, and carry out levator ani exercise at the same time, three times a day. Massage the soles of the feet is also good for this disease. The method is to soak your feet with warm water before going to bed, dry them after 5 minutes, and then use the fingertip of your thumb to pass through Yongquan point in the center of the sole, and then to the third metatarsophalangeal joint of the sole (the reflex area of the sole kidney), and repeat this for 25 ~ 50 times, subject to local fever. The above rehabilitation measures can promote the venous blood return of prostate, help reduce the volume of prostate and relieve the symptoms of urinary tract obstruction.

Patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia should avoid sedentary and lying for a long time, and take part in physical exercise appropriately to enhance their physical resistance. Sexual intercourse should be avoided if you control your sexual life, or if you have astringent urine or drip obstruction. It is necessary to ban drinking spirits and coffee, not eating spicy food, and eating less citrus, sour plum, papaya, sugar, refined flour and beets. Elderly men should insist on 1 rectal examination, B-ultrasound of prostate, urine flow rate measurement and prostate specific antigen measurement every year to know whether there is prostate hyperplasia in time so as to deal with it in time.
