Morphological characteristics:
Peacock fish is also known as rainbow fish, million fish, kubi fish and anchovies. Peacock fish is a tropical freshwater fish with different phenotypes and different body lengths. Adult fish is about 3 ~ 5 cm long.
Its rich colors, colorful shapes and exuberant fertility are favored by tropical freshwater fish farmers. There are obvious differences between female fish and male fish. The male fish is rich in color and changeable in tail shape. Peacock fish is the most common and favorite fish in tropical fish. It is small and exquisite, lively and active, and the tail handle and fins of male fish account for about 2/3 of its body length; The caudal fin has various shapes, such as piano tail, round tail, flag tail, crown tail, triangle tail, dovetail, upper sword tail, lower sword tail, double sword tail, spear tail, needle tail (different from "needle tail") and so on.
The female fish can reach 6 cm in length, and its tail stalk and tail fin account for more than 1/3 of the whole body, and each fin is shorter than that of the male fish. Compared with the male fish, the body color is much inferior, mostly single silver gray, and although there are some patterns on the tail fin, it is not as bright as the male fish.
