My family raised seven lovely rabbits, which were always healthy, but suddenly one died. I don't know what happened.
Is it infected with coccidia? Rabbit coccidiosis is a rabbit parasitic disease caused by a variety of Eimeria, which has a wide epidemic range, high mortality and serious harm. Rabbits of all breeds, ages and nutritional status are susceptible to infection, especially young rabbits weaned to 3 months old, which can be infected without prevention, and the infection rate can reach 100%. Symptoms: According to different pathogens and different parasitic parts of pathogens, coccidiosis can be divided into three types: (1) intestinal type. The onset of disease in rabbits over 30~60 days old is mostly acute, and no symptoms are found. They suddenly fell to the ground, their limbs twitched, their heads leaned back, and they died of screams. Some sick rabbits have a long course of disease and become chronic, showing poor appetite, unkempt hair, indigestion, anemia, emaciation, paunch, diarrhea and death. If rabbits are large in size and have strong resistance, they can become recessive enterococcosis. Generally, there are more young rabbits aged 3-6 months, and the external symptoms are not obvious. Symptoms are poor appetite, not only the coat is not suitable for planting, but also gradually emaciation and anemia. (2) Liver type. Young rabbits often have hepatomegaly, external tenderness and mild mucosal infection. Lack of energy, loss of appetite, gradual emaciation, limb spasm, paralysis, failure, and death in the late stage of illness. (3) mixed type. Liver and intestinal infection have two symptoms and manifestations: liver type and intestinal type. Most cases in production belong to mixed type.
