Comprehensive introduction of physical examination for studying abroad

First, a noun explains:

Little Red Book: International Travel Health Examination Certificate (used to prove that "no infectious diseases that may cause great harm to public health were found in this medical examination"-"Conclusion" comes from the last page of Little Red Book)

Little yellow book: international certificate of vaccination or preventive measures (all vaccination records will be on it)

It is said that these two may have been chosen at random when going through customs. Although it is troublesome and expensive, we still have to do it. Must go to the designated unit for physical examination, not issued by ordinary hospitals or epidemic prevention units.

What is a medical examination abroad?

International students studying abroad do not need to apply for visas, except in some countries. Most countries need to apply for an entry visa to embassies and consulates in China in advance. Visa is the most effective way to control the entry of patients with the above diseases. Therefore, many countries stipulate that in addition to the admission notice or invitation letter and financial aid certificate, you need a medical certificate to apply for a visa.

For example, France, Germany, South American countries, Russia and Eastern European countries all have this requirement for self-funded international students. Canada, New Zealand and Australia, whether at public expense or at their own expense.

For example, American law stipulates that all freshmen must provide complete vaccine records before class, and they are not allowed to enter the campus without providing vaccine records as required by the school. At the same time, if the school is found that students do not provide complete vaccine records, they may also bear legal responsibility, which also reflects the importance that the United States attaches to personal safety.

Physical examination process for studying abroad

1, fasting (no food or drink) on the morning of physical examination. It is best to wear clothes that are divided up and down, and avoid wearing pantyhose. Please don't wear clothes with metal buttons or inlaid with various materials, and wear thin cotton-padded clothes. Before the inspection, you must remove the necklaces, pendants and other accessories (quoted from the reservation form). Girls had better avoid the menstrual period.

2. Physical examination can only be done at 8 am 1 1: 20. If there are not too many people, 1.5 hours can be done. Therefore, in order to ensure that all procedures can be completed, it is necessary to arrive at the physical examination center at 9: 30 at the latest. (I went on April 30, and there were not many people. It is said that May is the peak. I saw someone say it would take 7: 30+ 1 1 to finish, so ... let's book it early! )

3. After arrival, queue up at the counter to go through the formalities. Routine projects will be done, and other projects (hepatitis B, tuberculosis skin test and tuberculosis test) will be suggested by nurses according to the requirements of the school, but you can choose not to do it. The nurse will also ask her if she has had chicken pox. Students who make an appointment with a passport also need to take a picture of their own head with a camera on the spot (my ugly face! )。 After that, the nurse will give you a physical examination form with all the items and parts that need to be checked, as well as comments (my comments are "I have had chicken pox and tuberculosis in the United States, so I don't check for hepatitis B"). If you want to get vaccinated, there will be a list of vaccines. Take the signed form, pay at the window, and you can start the physical examination.
