How to judge whether the roots of potted plants are healthy?

Look at the pot soil: in spring and summer, when the weather is good, water the normal growing plants once a day, and observe the pot soil the next day. If the hair is slightly white, the root system is normal. If the soil is not dry and white, it is still wet, which means that the roots are rotten. If it is still wet after 2-3 days, you can be sure that most of the roots are rotten!

Second, look at the leaf color: if there are the same plants, put them together. If it is found that the leaves of a certain plant are not green and dull, or wilted, and the lower leaves do not fall off in the season of changing leaves, it means that the vegetative fibrous roots rot due to water accumulation, excessive fertilization, or heavy watering after drought!

Third, look at the leaf shape: the leaves have longitudinal wrinkles and deformities, which also shows that the root system is rotten, mainly on plants with fleshy roots! Because of root rot, leaves can't get water and nutrition locally, which makes these parts stop growing or even shrink!
