As long as the vehicle is considered to be in an "awake" state, power can be provided. The reason why the vehicle is awake is uncertain. For example, when calling and other functions are used, or after the functions such as temperature preset, cab overheating protection, temperature control, dog-loving mode, camping mode and sentry mode are turned on. When the 12V battery is being charged or used, during high-voltage charging, or when the vehicle is communicating with the mobile phone application, the vehicle will also be awake.
Putting the accessory in the power-on state will not exhaust the power of the 12V battery. The connectors of power outlets and accessories may be very hot. In order to avoid too much interference to vehicle electronic equipment, Tesla recommends not to plug any non-Tesla accessories (including inverters) into the 12V power socket. However, if you use non-Tesla accessories and find any faults or anomalies, such as lights, warning messages or overheated accessories, please unplug the accessories from the 12V power socket immediately.
