What is bubonic plague?
Bubonic plague is a natural infectious disease. Infection after being bitten by rats or fleas containing pathogenic bacteria. After being bitten, the lymph glands near the wound will be inflamed and may spread to the lymph glands all over the body. If left untreated for a week or so, you will die. The bubonic plague occurs suddenly, usually starting from the symptoms of blood poisoning, the pulse and breathing will be accelerated, the lymph nodes will swell very quickly, the body will suddenly feel cold, and then fever, accompanied by dizziness, headache, nausea and vomiting, body aches and conjugate membrane congestion.
Transmission route of the Black Death
The first mode of transmission: spread by fleas. Plague mainly spreads between animals and humans. Rat fleas contain pathogenic bacteria, which will bite the blood of mice to reproduce, then invade the human body through skin damage, and then infect the bitten mice or people.
The second route of transmission: through the skin. Contact with or eating the fur of infected rodents, contact with patients' sputum or blood to infect skin damage.
The third route of transmission: through respiratory droplets. The sputum of patients infected with bubonic plague will contain Yersinia pestis, which can spread from person to person through droplets, thus causing the epidemic of plague.
How to prevent and control
1, pay attention to cleanliness and sanitation, and disinfect pets and livestock.
2. Avoid going to plague areas and strengthen safety protection measures.
3, found suspected or confirmed patients, the first time to report and isolation.
4, medical personnel to enter the epidemic area, need to be vaccinated.
