National Electronic Health Card is a national unified standard medical service card designed by National Health Commission for urban and rural residents in China. It records the identity information of residents, health file information, hospital medical information and so on. It is mainly used for residents' identity identification, basic health information storage, cross-regional and inter-institutional medical care, expense settlement and financial services in medical and health service activities, for residents to exchange information with medical institutions, medical institutions, medical institutions and social public services and other related departments.
