Guangzhou No.13 Middle School is a complete middle school with a history of one hundred years, with two campuses. The area around the high school campus was called Fanshan in ancient times. Fanshan is the highest mountain in the old town of Guangzhou. No.13 Middle School, formerly a private loyalty school, was founded in 1902 (the 28th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty). In the twenty-seventh year of Guangxu, in view of the increasingly serious internal and external troubles, the Qing court ordered the abolition of the imperial examination to promote learning.
