The psychological counseling center of Liaoning University was established in June of 200 1, 10. It is a service organization that provides mental health education and psychological consultation for college students under the leadership of the school party Committee. We have been committed to strengthening college students' mental health education and creating a multi-dimensional mental health education platform. Mainly through the popularization of mental health knowledge, psychological counseling activities and guidance, to help students cope with environmental adaptation, self-management, learning, interpersonal communication and other projects. It is an organization that provides services for teachers and students in schools.

Introduction to the center:

After nearly ten years of construction, the work of the center has become increasingly standardized, professional and scientific, and gradually formed a "2+3+5" mental health education model with the characteristics of Liaoning University.

"2" means that our school has formed two major systems: specialized institutions, fixed places, the guarantee system of relevant systems and the operation system of various work contents.

"3" means that there are three mental health education teams: full-time psychological counseling teachers, and now there are 6 teachers; Each college has nearly 20 part-time teachers; Student cadres and all classes of student cadres play the role of peer education after professional training.

"5" means that there are five working carriers: they are courses, psychological consultation, psychological evaluation, websites, activity months and other carriers.

School mental health education has been commended by the relevant departments of the state, province and city for many times.

Principle of consultation:

Psychological counseling will follow the following counseling principles

1. confidentiality principle: without the consent of both parties, any content of the consultation occasion shall not be disclosed to any individual or organization.

2. Unconditional active attention principle: the center gives unconditional active attention to those who come to consult, and strives to let every student in need get care and love.

3. Voluntary principle: the center's inquiries are completely voluntary, and those who come and go will not be investigated. In any sense, there is no compulsion to establish or terminate the consulting relationship.

4. Ethical principles: The Center abides by ethical norms, never infringes on the interests of inquirers, and does not show any love, hate or desire to inquirers beyond the relationship between consultation and interview during the consultation process.
