What are the symptoms of beriberi (it is easy to judge whether you have beriberi)

(CCTV Finance "Workplace Health Class") Have you ever had an unbearable itch on your feet? Do you know that there is a kind of foot skin infection, which will invade the whole body and even lead to terrible complications if it is not handled properly? However, the most frightening thing is that it is extremely contagious. It may be just the simplest contact in our daily life, and it may be infected! Under what circumstances will this humble little problem become a terrible systemic disease? What misunderstandings in daily life will make us inadvertently recruited? Can this tricky little problem be cured?

Three ways to judge whether you have beriberi.

Beriberi and moisture are often confused. Mr. Liu, a patient who lives in Beijing, has treated beriberi as moisture for more than ten years, which not only can't be cured, but also leads to systemic infection and even life-threatening. Why does a little athlete's foot become so dangerous?

The scientific name of athlete's foot is tinea pedis, commonly known as athlete's foot, "Hong Kong foot". Simply speaking, it is a kind of foot dermatosis caused by pathogenic fungal infection. The clinical manifestations are blistering, peeling, whitening, erosion, thickening, roughness, cracking and extreme itching.

One of the most typical symptoms of beriberi is unbearable itching. In fact, different types will have different forms of expression.

First, look at symmetry.

Generally, our beriberi starts from one side, and then gradually develops to both sides with the passage of time. When infected, it is often unilateral.

Second, look at the persistence of the rash.

Infectious diseases spread along the skin, so it seems that the rash is continuous, not one piece.

Third, look at the nails.

Generally, eczema or other skin diseases will not affect our nails, but beriberi can easily cause changes in our nails.

Experts remind:

You can't judge athlete's foot by itching, because different types of athlete's foot will have different symptoms, and itching may not necessarily occur. Finally, I have to say that the criteria for judging beriberi in clinic still need to be tested by a microscope.
