The most common genetic disease of Golden Retriever and Samoyed is hip dysplasia, which is easy to occur in almost all large dogs and purebred dogs. After that, cataracts are relatively common, but they usually appear after the age of 6. Eyes such as entropion or eversion of eyelids are also easy to see.
For golden retriever, there are more important skin diseases. In fact, a large part of skin diseases are caused by heredity, especially eczema. This allergen is hard to find and spreads quickly, but fortunately, it is easier to solve if it is treated properly.
Golden retriever and Samoyed also have thyroid problems. The common adverse reactions are obesity, lethargy and irregular estrus, but on the whole, they can effectively improve the problem and have less fatal impact on health.
Of course, there is also a common and troublesome golden retriever, congenital heart disease. It seems to be heard that all breeds of dogs abroad must have a heart examination first, otherwise they are not allowed to breed. I wonder if this is true. But there is no such regulation in China. I don't know whether to say lucky or unlucky. Except those top kennels, the domestic golden retriever breeds are not particularly pure, so the incidence of this disease is not as much as that reported on the Internet.
There are still many, so I won't talk about it if I see few in clinic.
