Generally, the CDC goes to work after 8 o'clock from Monday to Friday, and this working time may be adjusted according to the season. The CDC generally does not arrange staff to work on weekends, but there will be people on duty to deal with some more urgent things.
The main tasks of the CDC are:
1, through the prevention and control of diseases, disabilities and injuries, create a healthy environment, maintain social stability, safeguard national security and promote people's health;
2. Relying on scientific research, talent-based and disease control as the center. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Health, give full play to the functions of technical management and technical services, focus on the key tasks of national disease prevention and control, strengthen the research on disease prevention and control strategies and measures, and organize the implementation of various disease prevention and control work plans;
3, to carry out food safety, occupational safety, health-related product safety, radiation health, environmental health, maternal and child health care and other public health business management, vigorously carry out applied scientific research, strengthen the national disease prevention and control and public health services technical guidance, training and quality control, and give play to the role of the national team in disease prevention, emergency response and public health information capacity building.
