In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, 20 healthy adults aged 20-59 drank 65,438+0.5 liters of hydrogen water every day for four weeks, while 65,438+08 people in the control group drank ordinary water. Blood samples were collected, and the serum biological antioxidant capacity (BAP), reactive oxygen species derivatives and 8- deoxyguanosine were analyzed, and the changes before and after drinking hydrogen water for 4 weeks were compared.

The overall research results show that hydrogen and water have no effect on these indexes. However, further analysis of the data of subjects over 30 years old found that the serum biological antioxidant capacity of hydrogen water group was significantly higher than that of the control group, indicating that hydrogen water can improve the overall antioxidant capacity of healthy people over 30 years old.

It was also found that the apoptosis of peripheral blood mononuclear cells in hydrogen water group was significantly reduced, suggesting that hydrogen water has protective effect on some immune cells of healthy people over 30 years old. The results showed that the transcription group of monocytes in hydrogen water group changed restrictively. Different from the control group, the hydrogen water group obviously inhibited the inflammatory reaction of these cells, especially the NF-κB network signal.

This shows that drinking hydrogen water for 4 weeks can significantly inhibit the hidden inflammatory reaction in healthy people's blood, leading to the reduction of oxidative stress. Although the protective effect of hydrogen on healthy people is implicit, it has been detected by scholars.
