Yunnan Medical and Health Vocational College is a specialized college. Compared with undergraduate colleges, junior colleges are still not recognized by the society in academic qualifications. The teaching level in Yunnan in recent years is not remarkable. Founded on 20 18, it is a newly-built vocational and technical college. Therefore, it is impossible to reflect the education level of the school through graduates. The admission score is probably a little higher than the junior college score. The main major of the school is medical and health, so the score of medical and health related majors is slightly higher.
In terms of upgrading from college to undergraduate, only four majors in Yunnan Medical and Health Vocational College can be upgraded to undergraduate in 20021,namely, nursing, midwifery, medical laboratory technology and medical imaging technology, and these four undergraduate majors that can apply for the exam are: nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, medical laboratory technology and medical audio-visual technology. Undergraduate schools that can apply for the exam are: Kunming College, Haiyuan College of Kunming Medical University, Yunnan Institute of Economics and Management, Kunming Medical University, Yunnan University College of Tourism and Culture, Yunnan Technology and Business University, Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Universities of Applied Sciences in western Yunnan.
In terms of software, some teachers are transferred from other institutions, and most of them are new teachers. In teaching experience, they may be worse than the old teachers, but the young teachers are more self-motivated, more integrated with students, and the teaching work is progressing smoothly.
In terms of hardware facilities, the new school established on 20 18, regardless of the teaching building, laboratory, dormitory and canteen, has a high configuration, which is naturally much stronger than the hardware of many old universities. The school has two campuses, Wuhua Campus and Anning Campus. Most of the students are in Anning campus, and the hardware facilities are better. Anning is also a university town in Kunming, with complete facilities and close to students' consumption.
