Yesterday, with these questions from consumers, our reporter interviewed Founder, the founder of "Huaxi _ Home Health Industry Alliance", and the director of the Institute of Chemistry of China Testing Technology Research Institute.
Reporter: As the weather turns hot, the pollution problem in the room decoration has attracted more and more attention from readers and consumers. Please ask Director Fang to talk about the common pollutants in room decoration and their effects.
Founder: It should be said that the topic of decoration pollution is a cliche. But it still hasn't attracted enough attention from consumers. In fact, the pollution in the decoration is not only in summer, but also in the whole decoration process. However, these pollution problems can be fully exposed in summer. There should be five kinds of common pollutants in decoration. They are formaldehyde, benzene, TVOC, ammonia and radioactive radon.
Reporter: In addition to the above five common pollutants, have you found any new pollutants in the living room? Do they affect people's health?
Founder: Yes. Other indoor pollutants are mainly caused by volatile organic compounds. These volatile organic compounds mainly include isobutane, n-hexane, decane, dichloromethane, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene, styrene, toluene, ethylbenzene and so on. Because these toxic and harmful substances have not attracted enough attention from consumers, the harm to human body is sometimes more serious than "formaldehyde"!
For example, dichloromethane comes from various paints, coatings, furniture polishes and cleaners, hair styling agents, household air cleaners, deodorants, leather shoes polishes and cleaners. It can cause headache, fatigue and limb weakness, and can damage the liver and brain. It is a suspected carcinogen. Carbon tetrachloride comes from indoor building materials and detergents, which can also cause headache, weakness, weakness, nausea, vomiting and liver and kidney damage. It is also a suspected carcinogen; Trichloroethylene mainly comes from typewriter correction fluid, adhesive, detergent, carpet cleaning fluid and refrigerant. It has adverse effects on the central nervous system, immune system and endocrine system, which can lead to abortion and is also a suspected carcinogen.
Judging from the current situation, our institute, as a national legal metrological technical institution and a national public welfare scientific research unit for quality inspection and testing technology research, has already possessed this ability. Next, in addition to actively cooperating with "Huaxi _ Home Health Industry Alliance" to carry out free testing activities of related substances (negative ions, photocatalysts, nano, etc.). For enterprises, we will also launch the "Healthy Home into the Community" activity one after another, and truly pass on the knowledge and concept of healthy home to every consumer, so that they can "arm" their minds and direct their actions with the popular science knowledge of healthy home.
