? But even though we have graduated from graduate school for ten years, we will still find that we don't know ourselves. It is because you don't know yourself that it is actually more difficult to determine your life goals. So what should we do? Recommend a book, Psychology of Success (figure 1, 2, 3). If everyone answers the questions in the book carefully, they will get to know themselves gradually. After reading this book, we can start brainstorming our life goals. Because this book will make you think about many problems, and in the interaction with the book, you will collide with many ideas and goals.
? Brainstorming is often used in the unit, usually in team thinking, but the brainstorming of life goals is actually a person's brainstorming, but several principles should be followed: First, it must be written down, and what comes to mind should be written down immediately. I use software to draw mind maps. If it is hand-drawn, you can also draw pictures, which is a way that the brain prefers. The second principle is that the more the better. This is the same as the brainstorming of the team. Don't think about quality, pay attention to quantity, encourage yourself to think about some wild and crazy ideas, and assume that you will be Ma Yun in the future. Third, don't deny yourself, that is, don't deny your own ideas. If you think that's purely daydreaming's goal, you can write it down or draw it and let it be judged by practical actions in the future.
? Next, start brainstorming about life goals. First, write down or draw all the thoughts and ideas, which requires the use of lateral thinking. Everyone should constantly divergent thinking, think carefully about their life goals, even if it is only a moment. Like the picture I sent (Figure 4), I write all the life goals you want to achieve on the mind map, and write one when you think of one, regardless of whether this goal is too big. Will this idea be boring? At this stage, please abandon these self-critical thoughts and just write down your life goals.
? In the second stage, I began to classify the ideas of life goals in the first stage (Figure 5). This requires thinking about how to classify. We should make a good classification according to the specific content of our life goals. Not all people are the same. For example, writing a book, becoming a contracted author can be classified as a hobby, becoming a professional manager at the vice president level, and well-known trainers in three fields can be classified as career development. Every idea must have its own category, and the role of classification is very important. In the process of sorting out and classifying, because the associative power of our brain will play a role and produce new ideas, we will make up these ideas on the mind map. For example, in the category of health, physical health was written at the beginning, but mental health was thought of when it was classified.
? In the third stage, the importance of these life goals is analyzed by logic. (Figure 6) At this time, should we think that every goal in life is what we really want? For example, I can play the piano. I want to show off my skills when I think of it, and it takes a lot of time. I don't want to spend time on it. In fact, this stage is to start to converge our thoughts. In this process, we should add or subtract new ideas at any time, and at this time we should add some specific goals.
? Generally speaking, it is necessary to analyze the feasibility of brainstorming, but as for the goal of life, I think since it is the goal of life, it will be a long life. As long as you work hard, fortune will always come, so I think that as long as it is an important goal for yourself, you must dare to pursue it.
The above has completed the brainstorming of life goals. The next step is to really start using mind maps to set goals in life. Divided into three stages:
The first stage. This mind map is actually the last one of the above brainstorming about life goals, but what we need to do in this step is to draw it specifically behind the goal just now, that is, to write the goal more specifically and try not to be vague. For example, it is better for me to buy a house of 3 million yuan than to buy a house. I saved 3 million yuan before I was 45 years old and became rich. I read three books to my children every day and spend more time with them.
? The second stage. Prioritize and link goals. (Figure 7) After all the goals are set, assign a priority to each goal in each category, which can be made "very important", "important" and "worth looking forward to", or marked by time, such as completion within 5 years, 5- 10 years, 10 years later. You can use the symbols, numbers or icons you are used to. Prioritize your goals in this way and you won't be overwhelmed by too many goals. You will think carefully about the most important or urgent goals that need to be achieved in recent years. And you can also connect some goals with dotted lines and arrows, such as writing a book with a mind map trainer. Because I want to write a book about mind mapping, I want to collect as much material as possible in training, so as to establish a connection between goals.
? In the third stage, after the goals of the second stage have been listed, everyone should start thinking about what the specific behavior of each goal is to achieve. At this time, it is necessary to use the method of longitudinal thinking to think deeply about how to achieve the listed goals and quantify them as concretely as possible. For example, doing parent-child reading for 20 minutes before going to bed every day is more time than spending with children now. Let me give you an example of concrete action with one of my goals.
? For example, as shown in Figure 8, this is one of the goals I set at the beginning of this year. I think I need to improve my position in three aspects, namely management, business and communication. In terms of management, I divide it into department management and time management, so I can improve my management ability by attending at least three management trainings, reading 65,438+00 books and looking for tutors' guidance. On the other hand, I will learn at least three time management tools and record the time spent every day, so that I can notice which time is wasted and which time is not effectively completed, and then I will pay attention to this aspect. Secondly, I want to improve my business. On the one hand, I want to improve my bank financing, because I have been running a trading platform, but our platform mainly provides financing for commodity traders, and my knowledge in this field is very lacking, so I intend to improve my financing knowledge by reading at least 5 books and exchanging learning with at least 3 bank personnel. On the other hand, I plan to study project management. Through the study of PMP, I can have a general understanding of project management and apply it to my work. You can notice that when I wrote 1 1 months ago, I just set myself a fast knot and put some pressure on myself. The third aspect is trade. I want to participate in the trade of five entities and understand the specific trade processes and methods. Through these three aspects of study, I believe my business ability can be improved to a higher level. Finally, I think communication is very important in any job, so I set three actions to improve communication. The first one is to send an email to the new people at work the day after receiving the business card to deepen mutual understanding. Received good results, really stand out and leave a deep impression on others. The second action is to check the business cards for three months. For people who have been in contact for a long time, telephone communication, courtesy telephone communication or email communication really play a very good role in their work. With business contacts, it is much more convenient to do things. Finally, I still want to improve my communication skills by reading at least three books on communication.
? You will notice that I have thought so much about such a goal, quantified every actual action and put some pressure on myself. Maybe I won't achieve it all by the end of the year, but I will try my best to achieve it, just like I may not have participated in trade five times, but it is good to participate in three or four times. You can write more specifically according to your own characteristics, such as training 3, and you can directly list the names of the training you want to attend. The more specific you are, the easier it is to take action and achieve your goals.
Next, I will share my practice in view of the problems that are easy to appear in drawing.
1, many friends will ask, teacher, I didn't realize there were so many goals in life. I think others have special ideas, but I have few goals. Then my suggestion is that when classifying the brainstorming part, you can refer to the classification of "wheel of life" in success psychology, and then think about your life goals under each classification. For example, the community is something that many of us ignore, but doing some public welfare activities is actually good for our health, so that we can have empathy and contribute to society. It is also a good way to help you find the goal you want to achieve through the guidance of books.
? 2. Some life goals can't be achieved at all, but I especially hope that I can achieve them. In fact, the criterion for judging whether the goal of life can be achieved is not whether you want to achieve it or not, but whether the subsequent specific action plan is operable. For example, what are the specific actions behind becoming the richest man in the world? If there is no specific action, it can actually be judged that the possibility of realization is relatively low. Therefore, concrete actions are very important for life goals.
3. Has this mind map of life goals been completed? Can it be modified? This is certainly possible, because with the growth of age and experience, we may add some new life goals. For example, I wanted to be a trainer of mind mapping and management, but later I found that I liked visual guidance very much, so I added a new goal. We can modify our mind map of life goals from time to time, and it is better to draw another one, so that we can keep these maps and see our growth trajectory.
? Finally, I want to share an experience with you. The goal of life should never be just in your mind, but must be written down. It is said that a famous foreign university once conducted a survey. The researchers asked the students who participated in the survey such a question: "Do you have a goal?" Only 10% of the respondents admitted that they had goals. The second question is: "If you have a goal, do you write it down?" Only 4% of the respondents answered yes. Twenty years later, when universities visited the students who participated in the survey around the world, they found that those who wrote down their life goals in black and white were far ahead of their peers in terms of career development and living standards. 4% people have more wealth than 96% people put together. Those 96% people who have not written their life goals on paper have been busy, directly or indirectly, consciously or unconsciously helping those 4% people achieve their goals.
