Why are so few people really happy when everyone is pursuing happiness?

We often pursue too much and want to make a group of excellent friends and become a red man in the social circle; I want to be the impeccable other half in my lover's eyes; Want to be a good employee without him in the boss's mind; I want to be praised by people around me, whether it is ability or appearance, whether it is emotional intelligence or IQ. All along, we have been role-playing and gaining external recognition.

This made me very painful at one time. I want to be recognized and praised by my tutor, and I want to be recognized by the internship company. We should do well on both sides and not delay our original studies. While dragging the tired body to continue to spend the day by day, a series of major events such as graduation, graduation thesis and job hunting followed.

During this time, stress leads to depression and I can't afford to do anything. I can't afford any chicken soup, and I even begin to wonder if I have depression.

Why do I feel unhappy when I work so hard?

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to read Zhang Defen's book "Meeting My Future Self". This book gave me a good medicine, which made me unable to adjust inexplicable pressure and inexplicably unhappy when I was in my twenties.

I won't comment on this book here. After all, some viewpoints may be beyond my understanding, and some viewpoints can actually be refuted, but some viewpoints in the book have solved my previous confusion.

1. There are three things in this world, mine, his and God's. I just have to do my job.

2. If you want to be happy and really happy, it's not who wants to please, but who you really are.

It turns out that we pursue too much and neglect our health. Health is the cornerstone of everything, which we should pay attention to at this age.

4. If the fact has happened, it's useless to resent and complain blindly. Learn to surrender to it. Only by surrendering to the facts and the self-expression of this emotion can we accept the facts. Emotions will come, go by yourself. We should adjust ourselves.

5. Turn your subconscious into consciousness. For example, don't cross your legs. Because of crossing your legs for a long time and sitting incorrectly, you have slight scoliosis. When you realize that you are going to be angry, you should convince yourself to calm down. The fact has happened, and anger can't solve any problems.

Happiness is based on a healthy body, surrendering to facts, surrendering to one's own emotions, calmly managing one's thoughts, and realizing one's identity and role-playing.

As the book says, whatever you resist will last.

I hope you can handle your negative emotions, surrender to them, accept them and transform yourself with actions. Happiness is at hand.
