UNESCO defines human health as physical health and mental health, which requires good social adaptability. However, with the rapid development of society, the pace of people's life is accelerating, the pressure of life and study is increasing, and the importance of mental health is becoming more and more prominent. Only people with mental health can better adapt to society and life.
In recent years, the mental health education in colleges and universities has gradually attracted the attention of the society, and the education department has also strengthened the mental health education in colleges and universities. Many colleges and universities have established their own mental health education institutions, and constantly carry out mental health counseling for all students. As an important part of higher education, higher vocational colleges have gradually developed diversified mental health education. However, due to the influence of traditional educational concepts, mental health education in higher vocational colleges is still inefficient. In view of the psychological status quo of students in higher vocational colleges and the problems existing in education, this paper puts forward some suggestions and thoughts on improving the effectiveness of mental health education under the background of higher vocational culture construction.
First, the current major psychological problems of vocational students
According to scl-90 Psychological Symptom Checklist, the mental health status of 3000 vocational college students in Henan Province was investigated. The survey shows that many students have psychological problems, and the number is still increasing. Among them, 48% of higher vocational students have different degrees of psychological distress and psychological problems, and 10% of higher vocational students have more serious psychological problems. With the increasing psychological problems of higher vocational students, it is not only inconsistent with the purpose and goal of higher vocational education in China, but also hinders the healthy development of higher vocational education in China to some extent. The psychological problems of higher vocational students are reflected in the following aspects:
(A) psychological distress caused by students' own learning pressure
The survey shows that some students in higher vocational colleges have poor learning foundation, which leads to learning difficulties and decreased academic performance. Some students' learning methods are incorrect, which leads to the unsatisfactory final exam. In addition, the education time in higher vocational colleges is short, and many courses have shrunk in a short time. Therefore, in addition to the main subjects, students have to take many courses, with heavy study tasks and less study review time, so it is difficult to arrange study time reasonably and effectively. These reasons will cause students' psychological fatigue, reduce their interest in learning, and students are prone to psychological problems such as blood test and exam anxiety.
(B) the decline in interpersonal skills caused by adverse psychological problems
Many students in higher vocational colleges are only children, with distinct personality, self-centeredness, poor relative control ability and insufficient interpersonal skills. Because middle school students come from different regions, there are differences in personality, interests and living habits. Some students are not good at communicating with others and don't know how to deal with them. After a long time, these students will feel lonely and have great psychological pressure. When they encounter difficulties, they can't treat them correctly and are prone to anxiety and fear.
(C) psychological problems caused by love
As the students in higher vocational colleges are in adolescence, their sexual awareness is increasing and they are eager to communicate with the opposite sex. Therefore, couples can be seen everywhere in higher vocational colleges. However, due to people's immaturity in sexual psychology and lack of enough life experience, they can't establish a correct view of love and are easy to fall into emotional whirlpool. When the other half refuses himself or is frustrated in love, students will be depressed, their self-confidence will drop, and even their study and life will be affected, and some serious psychological and behavioral abnormalities will easily occur.
(D) Psychological problems caused by college students' employment difficulties
In recent years, the enrollment scale of colleges and universities has been expanding, and the number of ordinary colleges and universities has increased, making it more difficult for higher vocational students to find jobs. Faced with the increasingly fierce competition for job hunting, the massive interference of human factors in the process of employment, and the imperfect social employment mechanism, many higher vocational students want to graduate and work, but they are afraid to work, feeling that their future is bleak. Psychological problems such as nervousness and depression gradually appear, and even fear and escape are produced.
Second, the current problems in mental health education in higher vocational colleges
(A) the school itself is not enough attention.
At present, the mental health education of students in higher vocational colleges is generally paid attention to verbally, but it is neglected in practice, showing a state of work fatigue. Because the education work is not in place, the mental health of higher vocational students still presents problems, and even vicious incidents may occur. Some teachers describe the mental health education in higher vocational colleges as follows: the funds for school mental health education are not in place, or even misappropriated, the staff are not in place or transferred, and the classroom cannot be implemented or occupied. Mental health education in higher vocational colleges aims at reducing and preventing students' psychological state, but in fact, only when students have psychological problems and some serious events will school leaders pay attention to it and education work will be carried out effectively.
(B) it is difficult to effectively use modern teaching methods in the classroom
Due to the continuous development of science and technology, the actual teaching methods are constantly updated. Chalk and blackboard in traditional teaching are gradually replaced by new projectors, and traditional teaching plans are also replaced by slides. However, many teachers rely too much on multimedia in the teaching process, which makes the course of mental health education become the display of slide courseware, and makes students busy copying notes and have no enough time to think.
(3) Pay attention to the teaching of theoretical knowledge, and the teaching method is single.
The teaching content of knowledge theory is the basis of students' learning, but if only theoretical knowledge is taught in the teaching process, students will feel that teaching is single and it is difficult to effectively mobilize students' enthusiasm for class. On the other hand, the teaching form of teachers is single, and teachers generally give lectures, with low student participation.
(D) Pay attention to the evaluation of students based on knowledge.
Many higher vocational colleges have different assessment methods for daily compulsory courses and elective courses, but the evaluation composition of students' comprehensive scores is the same, that is, students' daily scores plus final scores. And this kind of assessment content that focuses on theoretical knowledge only grasps the students' knowledge, but can't grasp their knowledge theory in real life.
Third, measures to improve the effectiveness of mental health education in higher vocational colleges
The purpose of higher vocational colleges is to cultivate high-skilled and high-quality applied talents needed by society, so the professionalism in education is very obvious. We need to combine psychological education with school culture construction, and gradually infiltrate new teaching concepts into students' mental health education.
(A) teachers should adjust the teaching objectives
Bloom, a famous western educator, believes that the goal of our actual teaching should have three fields, namely, cognitive field, emotional field and skill field. Therefore, we should not only consider the teaching objectives of mental health courses in higher vocational colleges from the perspective of cognition, but only let students master theoretical knowledge. Our teaching goal should not be limited to theoretical knowledge, but should strengthen the teaching goal in the emotional field on the basis of students' cognition. For example, in specific teaching, it can stimulate students' interest in learning mental health knowledge, stimulate and maintain students' desire for knowledge, and delay this happy mood to life and study outside the classroom. At this level, the goal of the emotional field can not be achieved in a short time. If our teaching goal from the cognitive level and emotional level is only a shallow goal, it is even more important for students to adjust their psychology through knowledge after learning the mental health course. Teaching students to use their own learning knowledge to adjust their mentality is the core goal in the teaching process.
By learning the knowledge of mental health courses, students can change their ideas, analyze and position themselves by learning the theory of mental health, face various situations in life through their usual mentality, deeply analyze the phenomena in current society, adjust themselves, establish a good character, actively adapt to society and realize self-development.
(B) a reasonable choice of teaching content
At present, there are many textbooks for mental health education, such as Psychology of College Students, and the contents of many textbooks are different. Some textbooks focus on theory, some focus on classroom design activities, and some textbooks are divided into two versions: teachers and students. But after all, the textbooks are compiled and have great universality, so they are not targeted at students, so our teaching design will be very different from the actual teaching situation. In teaching, we should choose more teaching materials and integrate relevant teaching contents according to the actual situation of students. Through the actual characteristics of colleges and universities, students can experience learning in a positive and happy mood.
(C) change the actual teaching methods and means
We need certain teaching forms and methods to design scientific and reasonable teaching content, so that students can master the teaching content more easily and achieve the teaching goal. In teaching, we should not only teach the theory of mental health, but also mobilize students' interest in learning to the maximum extent, guide students' subjective consciousness and let higher vocational students participate in the whole teaching activities through various teaching methods. Only by letting teachers interact with students in teaching and learning can students effectively master mental health knowledge and finally improve their mental health quality. At present, multimedia teaching is an indispensable tool in teaching, which can let students know more information and fully mobilize their enthusiasm. In the process of designing courseware, we should carefully design and use it reasonably, leaving students as much time to think after class as possible, and teachers should not rely too much on multimedia teaching in actual teaching.
(D) Reform the form of curriculum evaluation
We evaluate and check the students' actual learning situation, which is not only to test the teaching effect of teachers, but also a way to strengthen the healthy psychology of higher vocational students. Therefore, we can focus on students' ability to apply mental health knowledge and solve practical problems in a variety of ways, rather than taking memory of theoretical knowledge as the assessment focus.
Four. conclusion
To solve the mental health problems of higher vocational students, we should not only rely on the reform and improvement of China's policy environment system in the general direction, but also rely on the continuous improvement of the educational environment in higher vocational colleges in reality. By mastering the psychological development law and self-development needs of higher vocational students, students can live and study in a healthy and stable environment. Higher vocational students not only need our support, but also need the efforts of teachers, schools and society to solve their mental health problems.
