We can't overemphasize health. Only those who have been educated by life because they don't pay attention to their own health, and those who come back from the dying line, will truly realize how important health is. We see many people who "died once" and came back to life, relieved in life, forgot about it and only cared about their own health. Health is the bottom line, never cross it. How many people in life desperately make money, but in the end they can't save their lives with money; How many people in life have lost their health, their property has become an inheritance, and they die alone. If you want to get sick, your answer must be no, but have you taken any preventive measures? How much do you invest in health? Too many people cry for their health every day, but often do things that hurt their health.
Many people feel that their money is not practical. When I have some money, I will have a bottom in my heart: great, don't worry about seeing a doctor. Once, I had dinner with my college classmates. He is an excellent doctor in hematology department of a famous big hospital. While eating and chatting, I asked him, "How much can you spend on patients at most a day?" "One or two thousand is no problem." He replied. Blood diseases rarely recover in a few months or half a year, but it is common to rest for several years. How much do you think it will cost? Not only blood diseases, but also the fact that we often see in clinic is that a middle-class family needs only one serious illness to go from rich to poor. After dealing with medicine for 20 years, I deeply understand that you can't get health with money, you can only get health with the knowledge of how to keep fit.
Although health care requires a certain fee, health care is by no means a matter of spending power. What health care needs is the corresponding knowledge and the concept of health care. Many people entrust their health maintenance to doctors, but they don't know how dangerous it is. One of my classmates, a surgeon, called me one day and told me that he was going to have an operation. I was shocked and asked him what happened. He said it was chronic cholecystitis. The day before the operation, I was worried that he would be nervous and worried too much because he was a doctor. Because doctors know a lot about diseases, they will have endless associations. He knows how dangerous it is. Don't you see that many doctors are relaxed when they treat others, but they are scared to death when they get sick? So I called him and told him not to be nervous. Cholecystectomy is very common in surgery. It's not a great major operation. The operation will be safe because those doctors are familiar with it. In order to support him psychologically, I said I would go to see him the next day.
He is strong and won't let me go. He said, "You don't want to come. You just got out of surgery. It won't look good. " I said, "It doesn't matter, you're not pretty anyway." On the afternoon of the operation, I went. At that time, he just woke up with several tubes in his body. When he saw me coming, he gave a wry smile. That smile was really ugly, but what he said left a deep impression on me. He said, "I didn't expect someone else to clean up this time." When he left the hospital, I celebrated with him again. I must celebrate because he can come back alive. After a few drinks, he said something that moved me very much. He said that when he was under anesthesia, he was lying on the operating table. For the first time in his life, he deeply felt the fragility of life, because his life would not be decided by himself immediately, but would be managed by others for several hours.
Think about how dangerous it is to give your life to others for a few hours. You won't be at ease if you give your little money to others for a period of time. Would you feel at ease if you put your life in someone else's hands? Therefore, health must be managed and controlled by yourself.
A doctor is doing gallbladder surgery. Cholecystectomy is a very small operation. But look at what people have prepared before surgery. He wrote his family's bank account number and insurance number on a piece of paper and gave it to his wife for management. Because he knows that even such a small operation may lead to an accident, or it may never come back, so health is the most reassuring and dignified only if it is in his own hands.
