What is the world vision?

World Vision, founded in 1950, is an international relief and development organization dedicated to helping children and their families in poverty-stricken areas get rid of poverty. 1962, World Vision set up an office in Hong Kong, and 1982 entered China to participate in the flood relief work in Qinghai. At present, it has set up project sites in 40 regions of China, with 520 full-time employees working for China and managing a poverty relief project with a capital of 1 100 million yuan. Employees are localized, mainly in Chinese mainland and Hongkong.

Established in 2004, Market Development Department is committed to finding resources and partners in China to better support the work of Vision.

Our vision is: "May every child live a rich life, and may every soul make up its mind to achieve this goal."

Brief introduction of World Vision

The origin of World Vision:

World Vision is an international relief and development organization. In 2003, it worked in about 100 countries around the world, helping 1 100 million people get rid of poverty, hunger and unfair treatment.

1947, Dr. Bupiyou, the founder of World Vision, came to China and met a helpless little girl White in Xiamen, China. He was deeply moved, so he took out his only five dollars as food aid for Baiyu and promised to send five dollars a month to help her grow.

From a child to more than 2,654,380,000 children's grants around the world, the vision has gradually grown. Since the formal establishment of World Vision 1950, the work of World Vision has not only been limited to funding children, but also concerned about children's living environment and their basic needs such as education, nutrition and health. At the same time, it involves the development of the whole poor community, the protection of ecological environment in mountainous areas, farmland water conservancy, disaster response, education and health, and services for special children/people. Especially in education, World Vision has been making unremitting efforts in education since it entered Yunnan, such as subsidizing students to go to school, setting up scholarships, educating girls and educating special children. All these encourage and promote local education and personnel training.

No matter where the work of World Vision is distributed, what kind of work it does and what kind of people it serves, the core beliefs of our work are reflected in our work.

The core belief of World Vision:

We take Jesus Christ as an example, identify with the poor, oppressed and discriminated people with his love and enthusiasm, and call for non-discriminatory and unconditional love between people. I hope that through our work, the people we serve will feel respect and warmth.

We are committed to helping the poor, hoping to face poverty and disasters with them, feel their lives, understand their needs, and work and live with people in the community.

We attach importance to people's value and firmly believe that no matter whether they are poor or rich, whether they are adults or children, whether they are sick or healthy, whether they are disabled or healthy, whether they are educated, ethnic, regional and gender differences, all people are the same and enjoy fair development opportunities.

We are partners, combining the strength of the government, institutions, organizations, especially the masses, and cooperating with each other to implement projects, so as to give full play to limited resources to a greater extent. We have the same goal, understand each other, understand each other and help each other.

We are housekeepers, and our limited resources require us to be good at using and managing resources to serve our customers better, and at the same time, we should teach by example. We treat donors, communities in community development plans, governments and the public with an open and pragmatic attitude. People try to convey an image that is consistent with the facts to the public, and we try to match our words with our deeds.

We react quickly. When disaster happens, time is life. We respond to local needs intelligently with the fastest speed, solve difficulties and save lives. Not only for disasters, but also for difficulties, problems and events. Our reaction is equally rapid.

Based on this belief, World Vision has developed for more than 50 years and has benefited more than 85 million people in the world so far. In our work, we also met many partners, including Chinese Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Education, china charity federation, Yunnan Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, Kunming Education Bureau, Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences and other government departments and institutions from all walks of life. We also look forward to continuing to develop partnership with them and working together to create a better future.
