When Confucius came home and saw the pig sent by Yang Huo, he understood what Yang Huo meant. Needless to say, Confucius himself didn't want to violate the Rites of Zhou. Yang Huo can also take this opportunity to attack Confucius and discredit him.

The reason was decent, but Confucius had no choice but to say, "No."
"So, if you like politics, but miss opportunities many times, can you call it wisdom?"
Yes, Confucius had to answer again: "No."
Confucius obviously didn't want to confront Yang Huo directly and refute Yang Huo, so he followed him respectfully. However, his two "don't's" are obviously perfunctory and do not come clean. Of course Yang Huo could hear, but Confucius was so respectful that he couldn't have an attack.
Finally, Yang Huo said: "The sun and the moon have passed, and time waits for no one!"
The subtext is: Mr. Kong, you are fifty years old! How many chances do you have?
I believe that Yang Huo's last sentence deeply touched Confucius and his dream of being a politician for 20 years. The hard ice in Confucius' heart began to melt: "Well, I'm ready to be an official."

Like Confucius, we can regard all kinds of people we meet in the course of life, including villains, as tests that we are destined to experience. In fact, any obstacle, from another angle, is also height. If you can't go higher than the obstacle, or even lower than the obstacle, you can only look up at the obstacle, and the obstacle is the cliff, which blocks your way forward. However, if you are higher than your obstacle, you can ignore it. You can lift your feet in front of it and step on it. At this time, the obstacles became steps and lifted us up.
In the face of Yang Huo's aggressiveness, Confucius' performance is to be passive to Nuo Nuo and Nuo Nuo, without refuting-Confucius will not go to Yang Huo to be an official after all, but there is no need to compete here.
