What are the types of suffocation?

1, mechanical asphyxia

Respiratory disorders caused by mechanical action, such as strangulation, neck strangulation, obstruction of breathing mouth with objects, chest and abdomen compression, acute laryngeal edema or suffocation caused by food inhalation into trachea;

2, toxic asphyxia

For example, carbon monoxide poisoning, a large number of carbon monoxide inhaled from the respiratory tract into the lungs, into the blood, combined with hemoglobin to form carboxyhemoglobin, hindering the combination and dissociation of oxygen and hemoglobin, leading to tissue hypoxia and suffocation;

3. Pathological asphyxia

Loss of breathing area caused by drowning and pneumonia; ④ Central respiratory arrest caused by cerebral circulation disorder; (5) Neonatal asphyxia and asphyxia caused by air hypoxia (such as being locked in a box or cupboard, and the oxygen in the air gradually decreases). ). Its symptoms are mainly irritation caused by the accumulation of carbon dioxide or other acidic metabolites and central nervous paralysis caused by hypoxia.

1, Rescue of Respiratory Obstruction

Lift the jaw of the comatose patient upward or press the forehead to lift the back neck, so that the head can be straightened and leaned back, and the tongue base can be lifted to make the airway smooth. Then use your fingers or an aspirator to dig out or draw out vomit, blood clots, phlegm and other foreign bodies in the pharynx. When the foreign body slides into the airway, the patient can be prone, and the foreign body can be photographed by patting the back or pressing the abdomen.

2. Neck strangulation rescue

Loosen or cut the neck strangler or rope immediately. When breathing stops, artificial respiration should be performed immediately. If the patient's breathing is weak, high concentration oxygen can be given.

3. Rescue of severe chest injury

Give semi-recumbent position method, suck sputum and coagulate blood, keep respiratory tract unobstructed, absorb oxygen, relieve pain, close chest wound, fix rib fracture, and send to hospital for emergency treatment.
